Bill Gates says a 3-day work week where 'machines can make all the food and stuff' isn't a bad idea

What Bill Gates forgot to say is people who agree to that 3-Day workweek will effectively be locked into a lower socioeconomic status for life. Walmart will not be paying a living wage, so you'll be depending on Expanded Section 8 and EBT to make up the difference while living in a 1 Bedroom apartment.

They may hate working these types of service jobs, but they'll be content only having to show up 3 days a week now and will have enough money left over for Papa Johns, the Liquor store, and maybe some overpriced regulated weed once its decriminalized nationwide.

The top 20-30% aren't falling for this. Oligarchies will still be buying all the affordable homes and renting them out to the Middle Class (if that even exists 10-20 years from now) charging more than half of their take-home so they can't get ahead.

Imagine if people from 140 years ago saw the tech we got now.
They'd probably be thinking "Wow, life must be so much easier! :gladbron:"

Us: :stopitslime:
People from the 1880s -1890s would be amazed if they saw our modern society.
