Cosby made some power player mad behind the scenes so they decided to publicly discipline him. Of course the media isn't going to cover it now. Hannibal Burress needs to be called out for being a little pawn and throwing his own under a bus.

And Hannibal’s “reward” for pulling that stunt has been insignificant because it’s not like his career has magically popped off and ever in the discussion for anything current in the comedy world.

Didn't Cosby try to buy NBC back in the day?

And Hannibal really should be ashamed of himself for what he did smh

Cosby should have divorced Camille, divorced Camille, given her all his assets, then go on 60 Minutes with a big ass blunt and spill all the truth

Bill Cosby made a huge mistake by not declaring his innocence when all these women started piling on from nowhere, he should have sued all of them immediately. Being silent was what made a lot of people think he was guilty of being a serial rapist. He took public perception for granted thinking because he was a beloved figure, a lot of people would support him most especially his fake so called friends in the entertainment industry.

You could tell this was a set up by how they approached the rape. These comedians were all getting up on tv and cracking jokes about cosby and putting drugs in pudding pops. Who would really joke about a guy going around raping people? They knew they could use a rape allegation, whether it was true or not, to sully Cosby's name. Nobody ever posts a Hannibal Burress clip, but as soon as this dude makes an allegation about cosby, he's all over tv and the internet and 10,000 women come out of the woodworks, a ton of them being white. Ain't no way cosby was raping all of these white women in the 70s and they were all terrified of him. They would have strung dude up, literally.

Dude tried to buy that tv station and they needed to discipline him.

This type of criticism could help tremendously if the black community listened.

I’m not talking about white supremacy, but more so helping with the amount of respect & love that we give to people that look like ourselves. It’s really the difference between macro & micro. Cosby is focusing on the micro aspect (i.e. what we can do to avoid the potholes of white supremacy). Both POV (macro/micro) are need but everyone does not have the passion/knowledge to fight both sides of the situation. And nothing is wrong with that, IMO.

@The Wave I get your point about the audience diminishing the purpose of the message. I just feel like (1) the truth is still the truth, (2) we are rarely in spaces without others and/or snitchers and (3) in the age of videotape & exposures, this was bound to get out to the masses anyway.

Overall, I do agree that this message should be an in house conversation, but I question the feasibility of an in house conversation actually happening due to the reasons listed above.

I'm all for criticism publically,it would have been something great to see from BIll Cosby over the years.

Instead he stayed away from political commentary most of his career,so not to upset people.

But didn't have a problem upsetting black people spouting all kind of offensive stereotypes, and repeating and reinforcing white supremacy rhetoric:martin:

This is my problem with Cosby, not the setting,or doing it publically. Because if he bothered ever getting at these crackas like he got at us in an offensive manner and tone. They would've all knew where he stood, and black people would have known where he stood as well.

All we saw was a black man who never really goes political, who we never saw angry, suddenly taking out anger and speaking venom on black people. And obviously being quiet as a church mouse regarding iwhite supremacst.

Bananas man. White women age like bananas. A lot of the PAWG lovers are going to be in for a surprise when these women reach their 30s who don't have a dab of S. or E. European ancestry. Cats are going to be walking around holding hands with a broad that looks like Coach Beulah Balbricker from Porkies.
Bananas? :what:
She was ugly then and she's ugly now wtf. She barely looks different

you really think him going on the defensive earlier would've helped against the hundred or so women who said he raped them? :martin:

with no evidence, yes. it was all hearsay, now all those fake victims have disappeared. where are they now? where are all those clowns who sat down pointing fingers on CNN? They were nowhere to be found in the trial last yr and the one currently happening, this shyt was a setup, a complete witch hunt.

i mean they sent a guest cast member on the cosby show who was a young kid in the 90s to harass him, cmon man, this shyt is bogus as hell

The people who think that Cosby is guilty, based on the evidence presented, fall in a few groups...
  1. Women who have been raped and are misdirecting their aggressions, towards their abuser, to Cosby
  2. Family & friends of rape victims who feel guilty for not believing said rape victims, so they are using Cosby to ease their conscious
  3. Extreme feminists who don’t know the difference between victim shaming & completely coddling women to the point where you diminish women’s agency in their own lives
  4. People who want Cosby to be guilty because they are upset about a non relevant Pound Cake speech that was nothing more than common sense rhetoric from an old man
I may have missed a few groups. But the common thread connecting each group is that none of them can have an objective thought concerning this matter.

wonder which category Joe Phillips fits into?.....

Yo my bad @neotheflyingone for arguing against you on the original accusation thread breh, years ago. :wow:
Clearly, as the facts have come out I was wyldin'. I should've seen what you were talking about sooner, it's just the story of a holier than thou figure (Mr. Cosby) being exposed was too possible/common for me to see the facts.

I was wrong.
:francis:

breh it's all love

I understand. When you see the headlines, it will make you think, "well dang. Dude is guilty" :francis:

I just appreciate you being willing to be open to both sides, and then examine it critically and THEN being man enough to come back and admit that you were wrong

most ppl refusing to do that

you a real one in my book always :salute:
