I was living in NYC and was in High School when both Illmatic and Ready To Die dropped. The fact that you just said I "clearly wasn't around" when I gave you the exact timeline and just told you what happened in real time in NYC and then you disagree tells me you aren't even qualified to be in the conversation.

NYC crowned Biggie in real time in 94 and 95. You can like Nas better all you want but NYC gave the crown to Biggie. FACTS.
nikka NYC ain’t nobody! It’s a whole world out here. And who in NyC ever said Biggie was a better lyricist than Nas? Fukk no!

Thank you.

You can just tell who wasn't there watching it as it happened in real time. A bunch of Johnny come latelys were more then likely not even born let alone aren't even from NYC telling me I didnt see what I saw with my own eyes bringing up record sales when absolutely no one gave a fuk about records sales in 1994.
nikka Fukk New York nikka

My dude. In post #15 you are the one who said "Biggie wasn't as good as Nas" That was you giving your opinion. But you are 1 person. Now you're switching it up talking about "its a whole world out there"

:snoop:

I gave you the literal timeline of what actually happened in NYC in real time when Nas debut and Biggie debut in 1994. I didn't give my opinion like you did I gave the timeline and what actually happened on the timeline. But you already said "fuk New York" so that tells me you aren't serious about having a real discussion about Hip Hop history.

What really solidified Big's crowning was when he dropped that One More Chance remix in 95. I don't even have to elaborate because if anyone was alive during that time, they know lol

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
This over hyping of nas online is annoying as fukk, he was nice but he wasn't that nice to say confidently that he was better than big. Cut it out
He was a better lyricist than Biggie objectively and this is something even Biggie felt. Biggie had that "it" factor as an overall rapper tho.

Biggie didn't jump out the gate walking over Nas that's the point I'm making. That wasn't an instant thing when RTD came out. It was a few singles in.

If it wasn't for biggie and puffy bringing the east coast back, the west coast would've straight coasted and continued to dominate the 90s with no competition :mjlol: nas is cool and all but yall pushing it

Nas is on a different level lyrically, what put Big even in the same conversation was mostly his flow, he had the most natural flow in rap history but lyrically come on….

Big ain’t too 3 in NY
