i might be unrealistic but I thought J Hood had mad potential. He was a young teen holding his own with The Lox and they start a new group called D-Block and fit him in there.

Also Peedi Crak I though would Be HUGE being the first Puerto Rican on The Roc especially with the "Latin explosion" in music (Pop,Raggaeton). Also post-Big Pun I thought the market was ready for a guy of his lyrical caliber.

I used to think Lupe but I feel this year he met his potential inspite of label bs of the past. And he is still on a roll.,

:what:Why yall keep saying Sai though? Yous make it sound like he made one good project and then got smoked out or something. He had a great run and his catalog is full of gems. Not blowing up and taking over the rap game isn't the same as being a waste of talent.

easily Banks. The thing with a lot of lyrical rappers is they aren't that great of Artist and will never pop on a mainstream level.

This nikka Banks has all the tools & has proven he can put out hits. fukka just lazy:scust:

This shyt still ride :wow:

Yup. How do you have access to a GRODT/Massacre-era 50 along with Dre/Em/Jimmy support and not carve out a niche for yourself. Even Drake didn't have those kinds of available resources.

BIZZY BONE

some ppl here are listing ppl who frankly were never gonna make it..

bizzy on the other hand made it show us true GREATNESS.. and to this day i don't know why this guy isn't so much better or put out so much better music..

bizzy in 1996 was god like in all his verses... i mean his first album you had to be thinking this guy is gonna bless us with music.. good great music... but damn.. shyt fell the fukk off.. he got all weird and like bi polar...

but he kept producing music for the masses but it was just wack

his talent is top 10 easy.... but he had so many cracks at albums and even with that talent couldn't do it..

It's really sad. And he honestly could have at least eeked out a respectable little post label drama underground career but his last 2 albums were so trash beat wise in some pop rap ish.
Greatest story never told was a personal classic for me,too bad it never got the major label treatment. I was very happy with the album and figured dude would carve out a cormega type career of dropping albums indy.

But goddamn was gsnt 2 trash. One of my biggest dissapointments.

Bizzy didnt turn weird,he was always like that. He was kidnapped and molested when he was what 4 ywars old?

Dude had heavy personal demons and was an addict his whole life. The money and fame just exacerbated it.

Yeah. He actually put out GSNT3 last year and it was equally awful save a few decent DJ Premier beats. He's still rocking with that dude DJ Corbett who's terrible.

nah... he went super bi polar... and he was always feuding with bone too...

hell his personal deamons were prob the reason he ripped it on the early bone stuff... but later on in life he just went a whole bunch of ways...switching to islam i think... that crazy interview... bone thugs feuds.. not touring... dude that STINT WITH THE AFGHAN CHOLOS HI POWERED ENTERTAINMENT..wtf was that..

i MEAN BIZZY HAS PUT OUT TONS OF MUSIC... so he has been taking cracks at stuff.. its just most of that shyt is garbage...some features he's done on other people you can hear that he still got it..

i wish that guy could get focused and link up with the right circumstances and put out something groundbreaking... the talent is there... that guys is a one of a kind killer on the mic... from delivery to content... SO UNIQUE AND SO SPECIAL..

i mean in 1996 eveybody was in awe of this guy...
