I mean I guess but is there ever a consensus 5th person behind them? Sometimes 1 or 2 of those aren't even that high for some. For me personally the top 10 has always been hard to flesh out. But the thing is Mos Def probably wouldn't be in it cause his work ethic/discography doesn't allow it.
True but it's so many mc's in the game. I think that Pac Big Jay Nas argument just comes from a generalized version of Mc's. Where they just narrow it down to 4 artists that's some what versatile and possibly some of the most popular mcs with skill plus sales giving them that legendary status. Plus they come from the mid early 90'. And its more of a generalized standard. But ur right mos got some classic albums and some classic songs. That consistency messes him up. But I think he can still mop whoever.

:what:the booth might be the worst hip-hop forum in existence. I mean holy shyt.
yes I am starting to see that, I mean there has been multiple mentions of method man in here, WTF are they talking about, the nikka has multiple platinum albums and a fukking grammy, what more do you want, and he is still getting small movie roles in 2015.. How did he waste his talent? and the answer is canibus, he was supposed to progress into a better overall rapper, he aint give us not one really good album not one
