Before the 60s it was illegal in most of the country to procreate with someone of another race. After that there was still a huge social stigma that dissuaded many. Which still lasts today. We are currently living in what is probably the most accepting time in US history for sexual relationships between black men and white women. And naturally you should expect to see the number of mulatto kids dominating sports to continue to increase as the number of interracial couples continues to increase.

Numbers were marginal before recent times. You really trying to act like there were significant number of mixed individuals in the 60s so that many could be in the NBA and NFL? Never said there weren't any. Just that you need a statistically significant sample to make any reasonable conclusions.

And FTR the mixed race women you cited are well known cause they are closer to the white standard of beauty. In athletics there isn't a preference for white standards outside of the QB position. So that was a poor analogy.

Mulatto kids are actually more athletic. See Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon.

Mulattoes typically get the best genes from either parent so this was not a miss on LaVar's part. His mistake was he married a not so attractive white women. He should have gone for the more attractive white Volleyball chicks. That would have helped his kids chances to be more successful because how attractive a person increases their chances at being good in a given sport.

A bad volleyball chick = better looking kids (which leads to better ball players).

All the best athletes of all-time are objectively good-looking (i.e. Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, etc.).

Very rarely is an all-time great athlete not good looking.

Not anywhere close to being a significant enough of a number to make noise. Not everyone is special enough athletically to make it to the NBA or NFL. That's why you need large enough sample groups for the averages to work themselves out.
