I wasn't really following WWE during the whole Nexus storyline, so while I agree that most of them are bums NOW, are we speaking with the benefit of hindsight or did people actually think at the time these guys wouldn't go on to do much outside of that?

Wasn't around for the Nexus stuff so I'll nix that one out.
Bryan recovered in a better way, I think, so that one is out.
But I seriously cannot pick between the rest :mindblown:
Think I will go with Ryder out of the sheer fukkery that it created. It helped no one and ultimately threw the guy with the most heat into the bushes.
The Ryback jump to super-stardom at HIAC - quickly turned to local jobber though is definitely an honorable mention and would be my vote.

There has been a lot that has gone wrong, but I chose bringing back Nash, HHH inserting himself and just the overall fukkery of the story-line involving Punk that had no payoff. :smh:

it seems most of the botched storylines are due to super cena brehs..

nexus ? buried

kids cheerin for ryback ? we cant have that buried

zach ryder gonna get over as a new face ? yea right buried

cena loses to dwyane so they bring in brock lesnar to do the job

thank god for the shield :blessed: they cant be buried by cena until at least after WM...

definitely the nash/punk/hhh story line. It had so much great potential and they never even went through with it. I still dont know wtf happened with nash.:shaq2:

I guess there remembered it was pg era and:trash: it.

And STILL... left to their own devices, none of them green muhfukkas except Barrett deserved to be main-eventing jackshyt. You know it and I know it. Let's take your Barrett stan-ism and Cena hate out of the equation- do you SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY think there was ever any intention for this group of random muhfukkas to ALL be forces in the WWE? The only one that really lost out was Barrett- the rest of 'em are exactly where they would be right now under any other circumstance- and some of 'em are lucky to not be released by now. Nexus was good for the time and that storyline, but all this "OMG they got squashed" like most of 'em weren't headed to jobberville anyway gotta stop.

Left to their own devices is grounds and credible reasoning for burying a pushed angle that spent weeks and months of dominating television time? Interesting line of thinking. So...you think the Shield is gonna be RVD over on their own once they break up later this year? Or when Cena beats them every other week in dominant fashion?

I wasn't really following WWE during the whole Nexus storyline, so while I agree that most of them are bums NOW, are we speaking with the benefit of hindsight or did people actually think at the time these guys wouldn't go on to do much outside of that?

Gabriel kept pinning Cena so the line of thought was that he was gonna turn face after it was over and stay above board. Well..he turned face and was still chumped out like a hoe in the game. But that's all booking and Levasque and Stephanie shyt....they got time to give her a promo where she runs down Paul Heyman's business failings but have no time at all to develop Kidd or Gabriel into anything worthwhile and it's like they hate Zack Ryder for getting over. That's some BUCK WILD ass shyt too.

Man... listen...

The fact that most of the Nexus actually landed on their feet says they're a lot better off than was ever expected of them to be. Did you really think that uncharismatic-ass Darren Young would still be around doing ANYTHING two years later? Or that Justin Gabriel and his one move was destined for a real push? Or that Heath Slater, whose only characteristic was having red hair, would have anyone giving a shyt about anything he did on his own? If you did, you a got-damn fool. You can blame booking, Cena, HHH, Stephanie, whoever... but that shyt was Project Barrett from the get-go and you shoulda known that. Especially after Bryan got let go.

kevin nash takes the cake. I mean you randomly make a hot cm punk job clean to HHH and never get his victory back....just so HHH can have a random match with big daddy cool and go over once again?

:laff: makes anything with cena seem awesome

It's a toss up between Punks big push and the Nexus angle.

Nexus created a lot of buzz that first night and could have been something special but they fukked it up by focusing on just one guy and they didn't development anybody else in the initial group. It was just Wade Barret and his goons. Then WWE had Cena put up a WAY better fight against them before just outright destroying them.

Punks big push was first botched by having him come back so soon. Dude should have been gone for at LEAST 4 months and WWE should have allowed him to work indy events as the REAL WWE champion.

After they brought Punk back they then took his edge completely away by having him go at Triple H, get his ass kicked, and then quickly back off and start going at a much weaker authority figure, after that point Punk just wasn't gonna work as the edgy face.
