I'm sorry but ya'll know damn well if Jay-Z, Kanye, Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Nas sold 24k fw with a new album despite being around the scene longer than Sean, all the excuses here would turn into roast battles lol.

And I say that as someone who doesn't care about the sales talk at all. I've just seen people say much worse about hip hop veterans like Nas who've been in the game way longer than Sean.

Sean is in that crop of MCs with Meek, KRIT, Cole, Dot and Drake that came out for me in my late highschool-college years that I looked up to while coming up.

Obviously the latter 3 emerged as the biggest stars of that generation but I consider them all legacy artists at this point, Sean is certified regardless. They all have been my top 5-6 favorite artists for the past decade

I wish the dude well. I tried to give the album a listen but he's really not for me. He raps well and has his own style. I respect that

Maybe being a slightly more popular variant of the Currensy, Larry June thing could work for dude

I actually like the mature Sean on this album, it's a different vibe. Tracks like the Hit Boy produced 'This N That' and 'Boundaries' are FIRE to me personally and are more introspective. I appreciate Sean trying to switch it up.

Sean was never in the Big 3 but at the time Kanye was backing him and he had a buzz like 2014-2017 he was def Top 5 at that time.

He's in the same class as artists like Wale, KRIT, and Meek Mill.

Still serviceable but their glory days are gone.

Also I mean, the dude is 36, you still want him to rap about smashing hoes and coke raps and being in the club?

But thats the thing, artists like Nas, Jay, Wayne and even 50 illicit STRONG emotions and reactions from the public, whether you like their music or not most people are still going to have strong opinions on those rappers and the music they release.

Sean doesn’t illicit any emotions either way. He doesn’t have a stanbase and he doesn’t have haters. He’s just…..around.
