My question about all this is if assimilation into the music industry was their goal, why didn't they attack it more intently. Everything from
Payola (force their struggle raps down our throat in all major urban radio markets)
Competent Artist (Bleu Davinci
)
Visibility (rap city, 106 & park, flood the net)
Major co-signs (well they actually attempted this with Fab, Jada, Diddy... But the Jay Z/Jeezy angle could've been the greatest co-sign by far)
The only attempt I seen them actually put effort into was that 12 page spread in the Source, but as the saying goes, "if you wanna hide something from a nikka....

They did everything you suggested....you have to understand the first thing Meech did was incorporate the BMF brand
he knows business well....BMF was even eating off of music soundtracks....thier producer who caught the money laundering charge did the Dreamgirl soundtrack starring whitney houston and jamie foxx
People always talk about the "club lifestyle" of BMF...but failed to realize Meech owned a few clubs such as Club Babylon formerly Chaos where wolf got shot at........and also entered into a joint venture with Crobar in miami...
they also operated a well respected "security" outfit that has protected everybody from Jay-Z to WC
hell BMF even made a dent in the professional boxing field ....by sponsoring fighters like Zab Judah
but when you come out with ads in the Juice magazine saying "the indy that does everything MAJOR"
it scares off alot of these jewish distributors and power brokers in the industry ..who really don't wanna partner up and do business wit ya

cats that come with thier own money back then in the early 2000's were a threat....cause the industry just wanted you in debt
just like Bleu Davinci said they had 500,000 dollar budgeted videos coming outta thier own pocket that didn't see the light of day on BET
cause "phone calls" were being placed to media outlets by the feds that they would be considered part of the "conspiracy" if they promoted BMF
like Jeezy said..the association alone was threatning....that's why he had to get Diddy to walk him thru stations and meetings cause the industry cats didn't want anything to do with them
and it was funny considering most of the indys along with the majors dabbled in some "street money" but when you do on the level BMF was doing.......

BMF was hoping to use Jeezy as a backdoor entry to the industry cause he really had a talent that was worth marketing. ....
he just needed the lifestyle accessories that BMF could supply time I.e jewels whips muscle

only issue was Bleu never got the paperwork on Jeezy which Bleu said he regretted.....when Jeezy just kinda distanced himself from the fam

You're right about them not really being that violent though, my homie kinda tried them while we were at the strip club years ago and I just knew we would probably get beat down or shot later that night and I was kinda shook but I didn't show it. When I made it home I was still kinda noid but I was very surprised they didn't fukk us up. I have seen Meech a few times and that nikka looked like the devil himself, drug dealers on that level have no soul and shouldn't be looked up to.

Yeah they got that issue from Shawty Lo and some of those D4L cats at the Blue Flame back in the day. No guns just a straight fist fight and from what I heard BMF came out on the losing end. And they pulled some lame moves too, like when they killed that college nikka outside of 112. That shyt was totally uncalled for, dude wasn't a street cat and he just moved to Atlanta from NY to go to school. shyt was way out of bounds. And really that made the heat come down on them. They were getting away with doing reckless shyt inside and outside the clubs for a minute. When that boy got killed and his Mom back where he was from made a bid deal about it to the media that really put the microscope on them for real. That and that stupid ass billboard they put up on University Ave off of 75/85. That billboard was the dumbest shyt ever, but that boy with Keke marrying the mayors daughter they probably felt like the city and APD had their back.
