The Lil Scrappy joke aside he really wasn't a gangster tho. Big Meech and most of the rest of them BMF cats were just hustlers and business men. nikkas in the streets didn't fear BMF, they just had cheaper work than any other Black drug dealers so you really didn't have a choice but to shop with them. A couple of them BMF dudes got laid out and there really wasn't any retaliation.They wasn't on no "get down or lay down" type shyt they just came thru cities with numbers on the work that blew the competition out the water. And people always talk about Meech but his brother T was out in LA and he had just as much pull if not more than Meech did. He was the one dealing directly with the Cartel, BMF used Atlanta as its down south and east coast hub but all the work came from LA.

Easy to say as the majority population. Look at the roots of your civilizations. You were all inclusive and worked hand in hand with some of the worse thugs the world has ever seen. I'm not talking about him either I'm talking about the general relationship betwen crime and the building of civilization. People at the bottom will resort to questionable methods of attaining and maintaining capital.

Once they get close to the top of the pyramid they legitimize their business ventures and begin to offer legitimate jobs to their people only resorting to heavy handed crime when absolutely necessary. From here the next generation living in the clouds and the people they employ can afford to seoarate themselves in the way you described and establish bloodlines of wealth and high culture to pass on to their lineage
