I'm saying he wasn't sent.

People do this thing where they make sh*t up, for weird reasons. Nobody sent him. His brother didn't want him to go. So saying he sent him couldn't be more opposite than what actually happened.
I didn't make anything up. Their other brother Don said Lee sent L. Stop trying to protect that nikka.

No disrespect cause I know we had out back and forths bout this before. Why pretend L was an innocent bystander and he didn’t know why they was going see him?

He knew they was going rob or worse kill his friend and went with the killers instead of sitting it out.

What he got in return is typical of the streets.

I don’t think he was an innocent bystander.

But I know he wasn't sent there. When his brother Lee found out that he went, he was mad AF. L went on his own because he felt he should go. That's the only thing I'm saying. But there's people acting like L was a hitman or some sh*t. He was going after a dude that was known to be doing a lot of wild sh*t to people we all knew on the block. He chose to do that. But this myth that he sent, just isn't what happened.

I think it probably has something to do with them outwardly having to protect L image for all these years when they knew what got him killed and how wrong he was in his own killing.

He was a beloved figure but they probably wasn’t cool like that close to the end of L life.

They had both kinda surpassed him he fame(especially mase, way surpassed) and cam to a smaller degree had an upward trajectory and L was kinda in a void.

For the real info to come out and they finally can say L was a fukked up person. Like cam exposing how his brother tried extorting him at the oh boy video.

I'm more inclined to believe this line of events. There's also probably (can't prove this, just guessing here) a dynamic of Big L being seen as the "leader" when they were younger and in the streets but, Mase and Cam were the ones that got famous. They are probably tired of being compared to him.

So he was there right? If I'm riding to the store with someone and they rob it and drive off with me in the car, I'm involved in court. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you said he was there to show loyalty and that statement along with "he wasn't involved" makes no sense from any point of view but L's friends.

Think Boyz In the Hood. Tre got out the car knowing he wasn't built like that. Big L decided to go.

Mase had a lot of jealousy for L.

Everyone around the way knew that. Even when L was taking the crew up to Stretch and Bobbito, whole NYC knew he was the leader of COC. Mase had an issue with playing the background, only to do the same thing with Puff a year later. L was always trying to put people on and help them. That's why he held so much respect on the block. For Mase, it was the exact opposite.

It wasn't jealousy. It was that Mase & L didn't get along like that, and Mase disliked the notion of L was biting bits of Mase's style, during the days when Mase was Mussolini and was on that hardcore shyt. Mase & Cam confirmed it being the deal a while ago. It wasn't so much about playing the background because they were happy that Big L was the first from their hood to make it. But Mase never liked Big L and thought he was grimy.

Ma$e didn’t owe big L anything.
Big L would go do freestyles revamping Ma$es lines and if big L was the leader of COC let’s not act like they were super active… like they did shows together or anything they barely made a mixtape together the crew was one of those fledgling high school crews that would expand or diminish as time goes on. Wasn’t no one playing the background big L was never a big time rapper he was deep in the underground his first album sold less than manic did it was a tax write off album. Big L had the same sample for mvp as big poppa and still didn’t blow hell he had that beat first. Smh.

fukk Mase.

Mase was always an inferior rap artist to Big L. The fans always loved and respected Big L more than Mase. Especially when Mase did songs with P-Diddy, dude was just a pop artist. When he ran out and became a pastor, so many rappers were mocking him it's ridiculous. Mase is just trying to rewrite history now that he has a popular show. I mean dude could rap, but he was corny as hell and a sellout, that's why real ones never respected Mase like that.

THIS.

as a matter of fact.
sometimes i watch it is what it is.
that sooner or later.
cam will probably jettison mase too.
as mase be mad aloof and unfocused.
plus acts like he got some other shyt to do.
when dude ran off and just lucky cam is there to create subterfuge.
with mase enabling puff.
that all of hiphop is fukked up beyond repair from mase exclusively.
