I keep hearing mad differing stories about the hows and why’s of Big L being killed but it always struck me as particularly interesting the way Cam does and does not speak on the issue or the topic of L at large.

Seems like Harlem nikkas got a little of that shyt that plagues Queensbridge nikkas. So much love, hate, jealousy, envy, brotherhood, and competition all mixed into an eternal stew of crabs in a barrel mindset.

If your friend murdered your friend, wouldn't you have a hard time talking clearly about it, too? Especially, if the murder had some justification to it.

First off, that's wild disrespectful.

Secondly, all details are scattered, the case is unresolved and the main person of interest is dead.

Let him rest in peace.

I saw people on Coli grow up - you can too. If you want.
This gotta be Big L Auntie

Harlem is nothing like Queensbridge.

The majority of Harlem people have crews they've run with since kids. Out of the entire city, it's the place where people are the most loyal. Queensbridge, for those of us who've spent a lot of time out there, is the only spot where whole buildings will have beef with other buildings literally right in front of each other. I even know chicks out there who beef with other chicks they've known their whole life and have done wild sh*t.

QB's whole culture is based on backstabbing, robbing and killing. Marley Marl said he had to move because dudes he grew up with were trying to rob him, even though all of their parents were mad close and friends. Wild grimy. For the most part, you're not gonna be beefing with people on your own block in Harlem. That's mad rare. We all know each other's families. I knew L's family. They knew mine. If people in Harlem find out you did something to someone on the block, you can't come back around. In QB, that's just business as usual.

I hear you but Big L never struck me as a violent criminal. Ever. He was a G. He was the one.

If anything he was passionate and bring that to situations.

Money doesn't mean much for legacy. We all revere Big L. We're embarrassed by Puff Daddy.

Cam and Mase are journalists now. Good for them.

But they are not G Rap or Em or Big L.

They got into other ventures way off rap.

The others were focused and did not.

Big L's death still hurts me the most of all rappers who died.

fukk his killer.

R.i.p Big L.
Mannn shut yo fan ass up.. nikka in here going off how he perceived a nikka cuz you was a fan of his music when these dudes actually grew up with him .. this might be the gayest shyt I ever read

I agree it still hurts, but if it's true, that many are saying, that L lined his former homeboy up to get got, why was Woodley wrong in his retaliation? Just because L was a great lyricist doesn't mean he can be on some grimey shyt.

fukk Mase.

Mase was always an inferior rap artist to Big L. The fans always loved and respected Big L more than Mase. Especially when Mase did songs with P-Diddy, dude was just a pop artist. When he ran out and became a pastor, so many rappers were mocking him it's ridiculous. Mase is just trying to rewrite history now that he has a popular show. I mean dude could rap, but he was corny as hell and a sellout, that's why real ones never respected Mase like that.

I don't like how Mase talked about Big L some shyt about setting him up or some bullshyt.

I know someone who grew up with Big L right before his fame. The picture he painted was Big L was a man of integrity. He was a leader.

Cam and Made shouldn't talk about him in any ways.

I mean cool if it's truthful, but why wait so long?

Big L's music is more repayable than Cam for me. I don't check for Mase like that.
That nikka you know is a lair. And you don’t know what the fukk you talking about.

L use to book nikkas on his fukking bike. Was he a cool nikka? Yes but that nikka was a stick up kid and him and his family use to do crazy shyt on their block. There is a reason his family got dealt the way they did.

Just say yall don’t fukk with Mase and Cam. Don’t create some some alternate universe nikka.
