Whats the point of signing with a major if your still doing indy # or wor? Were was the promo? Singles on the radio? 106 and park run through?

Is it that surprising? Lloyd Banks did 45,000, true HFM2 was released on an indie label but looking back I remember more promo for that, AND he's the #2 on what was most likely the biggest rap click of the 2000s. I mean, he produces everything himself, he said he had to recreate samples, so no paying other artists, that's the bulk of most major artist's budgets, no?...from a business standpoint this probably isn't that bad and definitely was close to what def jam projected their artist would sell.
