Nas’ line on Ether brought it to public attention for all time, but Nas was only saying what the streets had been saying for 3 months at the point.

I remember vividly mad nikkas talking like “why would Jay let that verse be on his album if he couldnt keep up with it?” It was a bad look for a nikka who started his album off like he was untouchable.
“nikkas” as in Nas Stan’s and crackers :mjlol:

I met Gipp yesterday.. Real good dude.. He has no malice towards them dudes but he hate how the industry be kissing Jay and Puffy ass which is why he goes off like he does.. :russ:
Exactly. The stans are just too sensitive :mjlol:

Jay probably doesn't even care while they gargle his nuts in their mouths over this

Wasnt no Nas stans pre December 2001 and white folks wasnt rocking with him like that until Virginia Tech and Bill O’Reilly. Stop it.

You telling me you was sitting through Blueprint and when Jay followed up Em’s verse with the slow bop you was :whoo: .
They were when he dropped If I Ruled The World/It Was Written, so they were fukking with him heavy back in 1996.... That record and album did well, very well.

"I had to hustle, my back to the wall ashy knuckles, pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent...."

I personally liked hov verse way more, gipp is siding with the em had a better verse narrative because its easy to do that especially when you a hater... how can a cac make one of the best rappers of all time cool in his own culture? its the other way around if anything

get this ol country hating ass nikka outta here
