While to expect Howard Stern to know wrestling when he never did before, his comments do indicate how AEW has not penetrated into the non-wrestling world. On 6/8, Stern on his show started talking about Goldust and they played the tape when he was doing the tourette’s gimmick, which wasn’t exactly the best but Stern liked it. Stern said that Goldust was the greatest wrestling character and asked whatever happened to him. Robin Quivers noted that pro wrestling repackages people and he may not have done well after that. Then a staffer gave Stern a note. Stern said that the note said that Goldust now wrestles in AEW. Stern asked what is AEW. Quivers said it was a backyard wrestling federation and he’s now wrestling in backyards. Stern thought that was such a shame

Yeah this isn't a good time for 60 year old white men to comment, though listening to his ramblings on the subject, Dave seems more evolved and open minded than most of the people his age.

One story we're going to see is a whole cleansing of the business and the only thing I can say is that, you know in the case of the guilty parties and it's got to be and I just hope that some... you know, I mean, I know that there's a fear of everyone in the business of innocent parties or you know, whatever.

You know, there's a huge fear in the business for people who are not guilty too and rightfully so by the way. I've been... They're not even...people that are not even wrestlers and I mean they're in the business but they're not even... and they're targets and people trying to get them and they're trying to find stuff on them and it's you know, because it's like... What's the word I'm looking for? It's.. you know, there's there's real victims and then there's people who are trying to get people at the same time and those people really suck too. So it's a lot of suckiness right now.

Dave was like when Cornette swinging came up Seems he was right to be suspicious about that allegation too; Corny swings but had no power with pushes. WWE sent him a list of 20 guys and asked him to rate them according to how ready they were for the big time. Then they called up the guys he said were least ready
