I think some people forget as much as it's a competition game, and social based...one also has to consider jury management of the player(s) as well.

With that said, I think some people overlook the jury management portion of the game.

One can play an awesome game (win plenty of comps and make moves) and get to f2 or f3 (survivor), true enough. But if your jury management is shyt or not strong enough (see paul losing to nicole and josh, russell H from survivor, etc.) then ...does it really matter?

We see instances of this on other shows (i.e. last season of survivor)

Just food for thought.
Bad jury management is a cop out for fans in modern BB. Really what fans mean is biter jury, or jury with an agenda most of the time. Monte played what everyone called a "clean game". This definitely is not a Paul situation, even though Paul was robbed twice. Believe me, there was definitely an agenda for this Taylor win.

I'm happy she won, her story is amazing. But i'd be lying if I said said I think the better player won. In fact, anyone who says that is lying to themselves. I disliked Monte since all the bs he did/said at the beginning of the game. But game is game. You can't give someone the win because she's a woman (like they did Nicole in BB18, Day'vonne didn't even like her ass), you ostracized her most of the game, and she was brought to the end somehow. Did Taylor even answer what her biggest move was? I think she said she didn't need any big moves or some shyt if I recall correctly.

Imo the jury side of things is one of the biggest problems with the game today. It wasn't even like Monte had bad jury management like Turner or anything. These people literaly decided at the roundtable with Dr. Will that they were voting for her (jurors usually have they mind made up but breh). Without even hearing her (or his) speech. She could of flopped the speech and still had won. She possibly could have beaten even Michael because her using how she was treated in the house is like Eminem's battle with Papa Doc in 8 Mile.

Like how do anyone even combat what was said? How could you really even vote against her when she was bullied and ostracized? Especially if you've done some of it to her (Jasmine, Indy, Terrance, Alyssa). Makes it look like they voted against Monte, to save their own asses lowkey. And don't even get me started about production, and these post eviction questions that indicated that Taylor was loved by America or at least a hot topic for the journalist.

sorry for the long post lol

Not to mention his social game was something else. Convinced a whole damn house to keep him after being caught backstabbing and lying.

These folks don't watch Big Brother.

:dead:

Here is how Taylor stayed in the house:

1) Paloma self-evicting
2) Ameerah and Nicole wanting to take out a guy next and dismissing Monte.
3) Monte feeling dismissed decides to stick with Kyle, and they form the pound and then the Leftovers
4) Michael winning veto then outs Kyle
5) Michael winning HoH and getting rid of Terrence
6) Turner winning HoH, and Monte winning veto to get out Michael
7) Monte winning HoH and convincing Turner to vote out Alyssa, then evicting Alyssa himself
8) Monte taking her to final 2

Taylor's HoH's were total blunders. She was going to put up Monte and Turner as "pawns" during her first HoH until they convinced her it was a bad idea, her 2nd HoH had no power because Monte held all the power after winning veto and she could not convince him to save Brittany.

Dr. Will and Dan convinced people to play their games, Taylor didn't do that. She even acknowledged it. I acknowledge she did have good relationships and kind of played the game as real as she could which to me is something I like about her gameplay. It is kind of unique imo, but it is not on the level of Dr. Will or Dan.

Her speech last night didn't even convince the jury because it was revealed they planned on voting for her if she made it to final 2 at the roundtable.
Breh, I'm over here typing paragraphs, and you explained Taylor's game better than I did in way less characters :mjlol:

I agree to an extent. In monte's case, there wasn't bitter jury. However, he did fumble at the questions...almost like he didn't prepare before hand. (I only used Paul and Russell H to illustrate a point of jury management in general - we can all agree Paul was robbed)

Yes, Monte got Michael out (biggest threat) and won hohs and vetos. But other than that though, idk about his relationship with others in the house (he was better than turner and Michael of the social aspect at least tho). Taylor was on the defense before the game even got started...everyone likes to root for an underdog.

I think Taylor did say something of that sort. But if she did, and going by BB history of winners. was she wrong?

Even if everyone had planned to vote for Taylor, Monte still had a chance to persuade the jury...and he fumbled. Kinda reminds me of Mike from last season of survivor. He had the best game play out of Maryanne and Romeo. But he fumbled at the jury questions and didn't exactly own up to what he did in the game (as far as betrayals go). Hell, he even had the jury willing to vote him for him to win prior to the speeches and questions.

I don't think Taylor would have beaten Michael though unless he would've had bitter jury.

So yes, jury portion of the games has always been...problematic (for a lack of better word) To say the least, but it is what it is.

Bitter juries are a myth. If the jury is bitter, clearly you did something to make them that way, and so your gameplay was lacking in one area or another.

What did Dan do to the BB14 jury? Danielle Reyes to the BB3 jury? Paul to the BB18 jury? Tyler to the BB20 jury?

Damn. The black man in me has so much empathy for Monte right now. I really hope he didn't catch feelings. That means he lost the money and the girl. Ones again a black man has a shorter window for him to be hated than everyone else. No way he should be recieving more hate than Kyle and Daniel. Over half of the hate coming from black folks and "poc"

Personally, he was comfortable the best player after Mike left, but I guess the jury had other criterias
