We are fukked next election. Racist cac who’s a dumbass vs Covert racist cac who’s a dumbass in a different way.

You all better get to a point that you and your family will be good regardless of whoever is in that office. I know I have. All the partying and bullshyt for me stopped years before this pandemic.

Nah lol. All my deals are done via Teams.

If a client wana connect over dinner / hop to a mixology spot / whatever they can fly out and we can talk, or vice versa.

Sales has never been easier. I will miss some of the events tho, but I wouldn’t trade this for that.

This.. i kno folks who have gotten raises and promotions during their remote work.

My wife does remote work and I’ve done it for a short term. Neither of us are fans :manny:
My wife, kids, and I have been doing “remote” work and school since about 2 years before the pandemic and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Why would you rather put wear and tear on your cars, spend crazy amounts on gas (my Elantra stays at 40+mpg average, but still) spend hours on the road every week, have to get up much earlier, etc?

I definitely get it though; some people miss that daily outside interaction with coworkers and having a dedicated working space supplied by their companies

You only hear "it's time to get back in the office" from old heads, dikk sucking company men or people with no social life or a family they can't stand :mjlol:

If a company can successfully operate with it workers at home there's no reason to come back into the office.

Whatever cons working from home may have do not outweigh the positives.

I don’t understand how. You literally have more time to do everything. Less money going out, not paying for gas. More time with your kids. If you have any.

:mindblown:

Im confused with this mindset. But I’m a millennial.

:manny:
It really depends on your home setup. If you have a small apartment, kids all over the place, loud neighbors, crappy internet; working from home might not be the best for you.

But my office have me feeling like the Oracle in Batman.

Pretty sure we all know this, people are just indirectly saying it.

The reason, to get people back in the office isn't just to micromanage, but it's to justify the leasing.

When workers travel to work this stimulates, another sector of the economy, from where people get their gas, lunch, grocery shop, parking, valet, clothes for work and spend on miscellaneous shyt(girl scout cookies) that they wouldnt otherwise if they were at home.

Also a lot of people have been able to build up their savings / pay down debt. This puts leverage back into the workers hands. Who are no longer living a check to check lifestyle and people can't just preach about being fortunate enough to have a certain opportunity to work.

I don’t think a lot of people understand this though. People were able to survive due to stimulus and low interest rates the last two years and taking advantage of investments. But we are headed towards a recession if things continue. If folk didn’t want to be treated like a number…WFH will be even worse. Much easier for companies to eliminate jobs or send them elsewhere.

it’s in everyone’s best interest to get back to normal…I’d take hybrid at least you out in enough face time to matter.

People want to mingle and mix..Espicially women..

Big city moving and shaking is where the unexpected happens as far as deals and networking go

If you trying to level up, NOTHING replaces being in someone's face and putting your stamp down in the trenches..

I don't care how good your "numbers" are, if you not 10 toes down where the action is, those promotions gonna pass you by..:yeshrug:

Y’all nikkas in ya feelings bc me and my wife ain’t a fan of it. It’s literally our own opinion. I ain’t here to convince you, you do you. I ain’t tryna work at home, my home is my sanctuary. Like I said, idgaf about gas prices, and my commute ain’t long. That shyt is boring as hell on a daily basis for me. If you like it, I love it :camby:

I can see people in positions of power wanting this since basically everything is opening back up to 100%, covid numbers are down, restrictions are being lifted, sporting events and concerts going back to selling out.

It's all about control. They want people dependent on them to live so they can dictate people's lives. They eventually want to totally control everything you can do. Running the gas prices up and cost of living prices just opens the door for them to create a system where they can control everything. They want all of this to happen so they can introduce their "plan"...

From a company perspective, it's that AND $$$$. From a government perspective, no. I think people forget all of the industries and companies that rely on a fully functioning, fully open economy. So many businesses have been negatively impacted by WFH. Some businesses flourished. I left a company going downhill due to the pandemic to a company that took off during the pandemic. I just feel there are more companies that were negatively impacted than positively impacted.

Even for mental healthy and physical health. You need people out there living contributing to the economy.

They want to fill those office buildings again and they want the pharmas to keep making a lot of money giving new boosters every 100 days. Did covid magically disappear? Oh yea, I forgot, Russia Ukraine is the new narrative so that's the new boogieman we all need to focus on.
