Childcare is extremely expensive and people don't get why both parents tend to be working in the household

I know people who payed 300-500$ a week.

The most shocking thing in this article is that 2 years of pre-K is double the cost of two years of college. That’s wild.

Im all for it though.

Ngl if they go through with it, I'll sign up for 2 more years of education free. Gotta offer more than basic classes tho. Those only take you so far, depending on your career path/goals

Hmmmm...perhaps 2 free years of trade school after k-12, plus an elective or two (sociology, advanced history, etc). Im sure that they will offer a concentration of study for those two years that will go towards college credits.

I highly doubt those 2 additional years will be anything specialized. It'll be just a free option if your going to school for anything other than a trade.

Which aint really bad I guess, but it also doesn't cut out universities....which im sure would have a problem with this.

...and I’m thinking the bolded is the major factor here.

Two years of college still ain’t gonna get folks much further than finishing HS;
hell - we’re almost to the point that a BS doesn’t hold as much weight. But universities
are BIG BIZ and politicians won’t dare shake that cage.
