Tbh, these guys are needed because they're gonna come in and do the jobs that many of us, black and white Americans just aren't doing these days.

Like for one, contractors.

I work for a big building materials business and young white/black people just aren't going into the business like that, which is a huge miss because if you do good timely work and have attention to detail + transparency, you can easily become a blue collar millionaire.

You just have to be able to teach and then eventually manage a team.

But even though we're not deep in that field the way we should be, you know who is? Latinos.

The only thing keeping them from outright snatching the entire industry is the language barrier, and their kids will eventually tear that wall down.

And the worst part about it is.....it's a necessary industry.

Yet we refuse to do it. Yet if we don't let in the Latinos, the entire industry will starve over the next generation.

I would rather burn the entire place down then let more of them in.

ive been in web development for 4 years. when he tries to switch careers and starts getting interviewed by h1bs where they are going to grill him on tech to make sure he's either basically human documentation or else they will give the position to their other h1b brethren. or he can barely understand his coworkers or gets his job outsourced or when he has to refactor code that was written by cheap labor, his tune will change

The CEO of Starbucks, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, and IBM are all Indian. If you've worked in the tech field, you'd see that there are more Indians than Americans at most of these jobs. The field is full of Indian tech consulting firms. What do you think TCS, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, and InfoSys are about? They dominate the tech right now. When one gets in a position to influence hiring, they will be bringing on several of their countrymen and women via contracting with one of those companies. The QA department is likely 95% Indian females and software will likely be 70% Indian males, 10% Indian females, and the rest is mostly whites and asians with a handful of black men. You can most likely count the black men that are doing tech at most of these companies on one hand.

bro u just described my experience at a fortune 500 companies tech team. I was pretty much the only american on my team besides the middle manager. there were also a few latinos, africans, whites sprinkled in on other teams. When i went to a startup, i had an indian architect who was campaigning to bring in some of his indian "team" to fill in some spots. You are spot on. They get into these positions and hire their own. Now imagine when Sofia and Maria start taking HR and Recruiting jobs. Who do yall think they are going to bring in to fill roles in the future
