For the record, I think the decision to grant clemency to Rita Crundwell is disgraceful, just like the Michael Conahan commutation or anyone else who's committed such egregious crimes. We're not talking about wrongful convictions for minor offenses, but about people who abused their power to steal millions, and betrayed the public trust in ways that caused real harm to countless lives. I don't support decisions like this, because they undermine accountability and send the message that true justice is conditioned on who you are and not on what you did. The DOJ and FBOP keep making these indefensible calls like this, that saves these people from being held accountable, and I'm not about to defend it. I don't have a problem with calling out corruption or the numerous bad decisions made by this administration. You, on the other hand, only seem to care when it's politically convenient, and that's the problem.
