This topic is not about the virus, this is about young females being outmatched by dudes. This is about the marginalization of females. In someway it does overlap, because the virus also predominantly deals with marginalized groups. So yes, both topics deal with benefits to people who are at risk of losing their homes and struggling to feed their families. I focus more on financial security than the "cure" for this "virus" nobody can see.
And to narrow it down further. What demographic genetically is targeted more: Males or females?

The virus is the foremost issue in the country. And that's what should have the attention of people.
This trans issue has 22 pages-worth of replies in this thread because people overrate its importance and conservatives like the people at Fox News know that identity politics stories like this distract people from what matters and creates a wedge that can then be exploited.
In a vacuum -- sure. This is something to be discussed and debated.
In the context of covid19, an insurrection, debt, racial injustice and poverty....a story like trans women in sports doesn't fukking matter. At all.

It's not about sports. It's about taking away opportunities (ie athletic and academic scholarships). It's also not siloed to sports. Those who identify with another gender have the right to use whatever bathroom they want. A boy who says he's a girl can shower with the girls.
