The optics of Bezos owning the paper who orchestrated the hitpiece that forced Snyder to sell was always gonna be tricky from the league's point of view (not even considering the personal beef Snyder would have). That would set a precedent of billionaires ambushing eachother to get someone ousted so they could take their place.

Combine that with Bezos having a TV rights deal with the league atm and it's just too messy to navigate.

Probably but you gotta really wanna be in the owners club to go into it with him. IIRC, he was damn near on the brink of missing payments on the Rockets purchase. I know he shelled out like 8 figures to exit a merger about 2 yrs ago because he was late with agreed upon payments.

ok this is what i dont understand... WHY must it come to a vote??? to me that seems sketchy asf that other owners have the right of way over a matter of a team THEY don't own to be sold...

I don't think he passes the NFL's due diligence. I remember when the Texans owner came into the league they went forensic into all of his funds and had spies do background checks. If the stories about him are true they won't let this happen. This isn't the MLB with Frank McCourt.
