too many treat this woman like she ain’t a real human

Omg she cursed lol

I don't think anyone has issues with her using profanity. From what I've seen, it's just that it sounds forced.

When she's singing and I hear it, it's almost unnoticeable and sounds natural. However, when she's talking on songs and she's using it, it sounds forced. I still remember interviews where she says she doesn't really use profanity, so of course, it is going to sound forced when she does use it.

I think one problem is that on her 3 latest albums she's been not giving a fukk, she makes music for grown ups and does not try to fit in.
So for like 15 years she made music that anyone from 7 to 107 can listen to, now she makes music for 18-40, basically and "contemporary art accepting" older people. This is also how she stays getting the wildest reviews nowadays, when she used to get the same as the average RnB-artists.

I was kinda shocked, but still not, to see that damn near the whole album had the Explicit-stamp except the single and like two other songs. While a dude like The Weeknd been the opposite lately.

On the one hand, she's rich and famous as fukk I could care less about how much she's on radio or promoted on YouTube. On the other hand, more big black pop icons who are for everyone is always a good thing.

As a comparison, The Weeknd on his latest album had 4 explicit songs, Beyonce has 4 that aren't.
I'd say that those two went to opposite directions, she's basically where he started, and he where she, as far as motives behind the crafting goes.

It's not just expected if you look at her contemporaries. It has all to do with what you aim for, making the music you want and the best possible music.
Or working with the scientists or whatever Joe would call it to optimize your streams, radio, commercials and on.

I don't have an issue with explicit lyrics, but I do have an issue with lazy lyrics. There are definitely some lazy, uninspired lyrics on here. Not a lot obviously, but some lines just stick out in a glaring way that kind of take you out the song. I think that's pretty standard in a lot of shyt today though. The pander to the hypersexual crowd instead of coming up with some dope shyt while still being explicit (Partition for instance).

That’s all The Dream. This is why Drake should have had more influence.

This album not good, bruh.

Lizzo's LP is MUCH better music

Imo is needed.

Also people need to separate the styles they understand/enjoy and what they dislike.
E.g. imo this album is very interesting, good background music but not really my style so I can't judge if if it's a 93/100 or not. Same thing with Metallica, Goodspeed you black emperor! or whatever. I won't call it trash, I just don't understand the beauty in that type of music.
