People listen to music for diff reasons...never listened to a Beyonce album start to finish in my life but Ill give this one a shot based on what Im seeing. I respect what shes doing

No offense, but it's clear I don't feel that way so why even quote me with that as if it's fact, especially with no exposition stating why you feel that way? That's your opinion...cool.

You claim it's not touching self titled and 4. When it's clear to me that this album is four and self titled combined.

I liked 4. Loved her singing but I always felt it was lacking as an album. Boring at times. Lacked direction. I dug where she was trying to go but it was most definitely wasn't there yet.

Self titled was great. I enjoyed everything about it. But looking back on it now. It was really just Beyonce scratching the surface of where she really wanted to go.

Lemonade goes there. Lemonade is what we've all been waiting on from her. She was raw, emotional, honest, funny, dark, light, somber, blissful. She was just like, this is me, this is where I am right now and it feels good. She took us on a journey of life, love and marriage.

I don't see how you can be a fan of 4 and self titled and miss this master piece. But you're entitled to your opinion.

Jay's album will probably be named Liquor, Screwdriver, or Crushed Ice.

Then they will release the duet album: Drunk in Love: The Album.

His response was MCHG. He already addressed the drama. Lemonade is her response.

Now they do have a duet album rumored to drop later this year.

First...I couldn't care less about music critics, not trying to come at you, but music is the field i feel critics have the least credibility due to the highly subjective nature of the art

Two people are buying in hook line and sinker into the cheating thing which is driving the "beyonce is being so open and vulnerable narrative" as opposed to looking at the bigger picture which is the journey thru ups and downs of relationships

Three, of course her stans are eating it up so....

Four, the fact that people are overlooking how she fell into the same use of vulgarity (at least in the first half) that other r&b/urban artist get criticized for is laughable

Fifth, I'll admit sonically it's a risk (for beyonce) and she is doing some things she hasn't done before, but this, to me, is negated by it being a calculated move, constructed by a team, and it simply not sounding good (to me). Maybe this is her, and if so, it's pushing me further away from her as she's always been just "aight" to me. But I don't thnk it is, 4 was the music she wanted to make and it didn't do well commercially, so now she's doing all she can to make sure that doesn't happen again, it's working, but on this album, the music suffers severely IMO

The album isn't impressive, of course there are good songs, but this isn't seeing 4 or beyonce

This is some of her best work, I don't hear a number 1 billboard song on here, but it's more personal. If your one to complain about her music being to formulaic then You should have no problem with this.
