Nothing you said contradicted what I said. It all adds up to a narrative about jay that is not positive. Sure he had regular haters on some jealousy shyt, but the post 2013 hate is of a different stripe.

And beyonce gets the correct type of hate. Cacs mad she had black power imagery at the superbowl shyt that is the type of hate you want in this political atmosphere.

But the part about Beyonce Can Do Better Than Jay is the narrative I seen reach mainstream cultural levels since 2013 and its reached its peak now. Especially since he apparently had side chicks galore, its Fk Jay, we was right to hate this dude. FOH with that shyt. .
What type of extra hate is Jay-z getting except his music not being as dope :what:
Where are these haters? Besides these Rachel Roy rumors that they love to create buzz for her album, before this it was what it had been. It was the same cacs that hate on Beyonce, Nas stans and now it's just some additional crazy Beyhives that will calm down.

Also people hate on Beyonce for more than the political shyt, but also for being super sexual, cursing and that type of shyt.

You are acting like Jay-z should be immune to criticism, as a huge fan (perhaps top 1 %) I criticized the launch of Tidal but not the actual service. I also criticized BP3 and MCHG. Does that make me a hater now? :mjlol:

Jay z will be fine...he probably came up with this whole thing. Beyoncé is not know for her "smarts". Y'all got to remember Hov had to green light this whole thing for it to go on tidal. He knows that people love controversy and men getting shyt on is what hot in these streets. He is a trend hopper if Hov was a female he would be doing the same thing. Now hoodrats and misguided female have a connection to Beyoncé about being cheated on and still being with thier baby daddy. This whole lemonade thing is just pondering to black feminist and Lower class females to cash in on thier insecurities.

Even when jay z takes a L he turns around to make it a win. Until it goes to Spotify or Apple he will be making money off this.

Some good points. But thinking about it deeper it raises some questions.

  1. She's pandering to a certain segment of her fanbase while at the same time Hov is potentially reducing the size of his own female fanbase
  2. She's alienating her white fanbase with all the pro-black shyt on this record and the videos
So either way, both these decisions potentially lessen the size of their collective markets.

She's going for the "progressive" types as well tho. White hipster types ADORE Beyonce. She reps for feminism, she reps for LGBT, and she's cool to say you like because of all of the memes and Internet fanaticism surrounding her. The black power angle never stopped white people from being Dead Prez primary demographic lol

I also think Hov is tired of making rap albums and might only make one or two more

I agree but with this also Hov gets the pro male side (red pill dudes, mgtow dudes) and he still keeps his core and the females who will hate will still give him views to "tune in on the drama"

Beyoncé lost white fans but she will pick up that with the on the fence female fans who weren't really checking for her and the artsy liberal white girls based in the production from James Blake.

Mark my words Hov will release a 2016 "song cry" talking about how Beyoncé forgave him and how he isn't perfect and will blame his fathers actions. Beyoncé will be in support of this. They will not only gain the and what they lost but will get attention fans from pro family fans and older black people who see them as a model black couple who are able to get through the tough times without separating.

I'm not a big Beyonce fan, but this visual album is crack.

Granted I won't be listening to the audio any time soon, but as a 1 off experience it was a dope art piece.

There were parts like the underwater room were excellent, but some other stuff looks cheap and unnecessary. I stopped it halfway, I don't think I'll go back and finish it.

Jay can also shake the narrative that he went "soft" since they made their relationship official. His many comeback albums haven't resonated with people because Jay isn't relatable anymore. He has his own cult of worshippers sure, but the music doesn't transcend because it isn't ABOUT anything....

Something about hearing Jay rap about women since then has sounded a bit "off" and awkward. Beyonce is an RnB singer so that subject matter comes with the territory, but for better or worse (in this case worse... Which happens to be even better) all of those songs were attributed to Jay. This album is basically Ring The Alarm: The Album. Remember the speculation after that record?

Jay has anyways talked about the importance of "event" albums. That's why every Tidal exclusive is rolled out in the most controversial way possible

Beverage Fridge, 3rd Row!!
Musically this album is decent.

Definitely not as cohesive or "experimental" as her last album.

I feel like Beyonce cares more about the visuals and storylines than the actual music. With all the resources and talent available to her, she should be making classic music, not 6.5/10 material
