I don't think he's going to do that. He's trying to keep her. According to her songs, he cried over her the last time she tried to leave for cheating. This is his last chance. I doubt he'd try to mess it up in a song.

It's about what (black) women go through when dealing with cheating in a relationship. The thoughts, emotions, decisions.
This has been going on throughout history. (black) Men cheating on their wives. Mlk, bey's parents, and now bey. It's a cyle in a lots of families. It was about the love black women give (kids, husbands, family , but mostly in romantic relationships) and the (in this case poor) treatment they get in those relationships.
You aren't a married black woman or a black woman who has been cheated on, so you probably wouldn't understand.
I clearly think that's a part of it but I don't think that's the overall message. I already listen to the album and now I am watching the video. It meaning is deeper than you are giving off on the surface.

Yeah. She could probably relate to that song during that time, but neyo wrote it and she took it. It wasn't written for her like these songs. She's probably been threatening him for years, but he never took her seriously until the last time, when he cried lol. I bet he knows she's serious now b/c she released it to the world. Something he thought she'd never do b/c she's usually so worried about seeming perfect.
& this is why I said you won't get it b/c you're not a woman who has been cheated on. It is exactly what I said it is. Being cheated on can affect women menatlly, physically, emotionally and spiritually. You think it's more, but it's not. The movie and poetry listed the stages of emotions/thoughts such as denial anger ect. I laready listed in here in one of my posts. Dramatic huh? That's all there is to it. Taking the sour parts ofr relationships and trying to turn it sweet. Lemonade.

The whole album is telling her relationship's cheating story and tying it to black women's love and how this cheating thing/mistreatment in black relationships has been going on thoughout history, like a cycle, even in her own family. The only song that wasn't directly about that was "freedom".

I was thinking tht as well. She did all of that ,but still stayed in the end. This is supposedly the last time though. & probably the first time he cried, meaning she must've done something to show she was serious.

He's way off saying it was about black people in god. It's focus is black women love and downs (ex cheating) in relationships. Her personal story and how she got through it. & it also related it to other black women's stories/situations.
