saying she doesn't have real hits is a lie.

she is robotic though, but so are all child stars.

At this point Beyonce is less of a person than an object people vicariously live through and/or project their feelings onto. Her team has done a great job of making her a mysterious figure. There is no fear of her saying something wrong in an interview or being cancelled....because she doesn't do interviews, unless it's a PR piece.

In terms of the songwriting thing...you know Michael Jackson was doing the same thing, "stealing" songs and melodies? When you're the dominant pop act, everyone sends you shyt. And some of it gets stolen.

I gotta say this. For all the stanning....I never hear her shyt blasting in cars. Yet these girls know all the lyrics. I think they just play the shyt in headphones.

I agree but I saw an interview with Hall & Oats and they said ALL ARTIST STEAL.

On the flip side, Bey tries to market herself as this groundbreaking songwriter and producer. No shade but what does she do, production and writing, that Janet or Madonna didn’t do?

People are lying saying Beyonce doesn't have jams. I have been a DJ at parties and these songs, often requested, got people on the floor:

Get Me Bodied
Love On Top
Party
Single Ladies
Most of those were released a decade ago. That’s not bad but people love to act like her new music is so relevant it it’s not. Not to the general public. Her last two albums have low replay value despite being her ‘best’

Nah, her last two albums are her most relevant albums. Those were game changers. They weren't just a collection of singles like her first three were. When she dropped "Formation", she actually had people literally shook. She had cops refusing to offer her security because they felt like the song was inciting riots against law enforcement. There were all kinds of lines lifted from that song and people were actually looking at a Beyonce song beyond dance moves and how she looked.

Even beyond that, she turned surprise albums into an art. She wasn't the first to do the visual album, but it became a trend and her having Lemonade premier on Showtime was crazy.

Im not a Bey stan (dont mind my avy :dead:) but honestly I see more hate for her than love these days and I think its corny :yeshrug: I think we should appreciate artists like her while they here, I was kinda hating on her when she dropped that surprise album and it all just came off as fake deep to me but I appreciate her a lot more now, plus she always had songs I liked, her first album bring back mad nostalgia from my older sister having it
The criticism of Beyoncé that’s valid to me, is that she’s hasn’t consistently made music up to par with her skills. Especially across hits from bday, Sasha fierce, Beyoncé, etc.

Im not going to get into a battle about Lemonade because for some reason people stan that album - it did absolutely nothing for me nor were half the songs good - but bey’s hits just haven’t felt as timeless as someone like Janet, Mariah, Whitney, Mary j. But maybe she is for folks who came up under Beyoncé who were the age I was coming up under the aforementioned artists ...

She’s an amazing entertainer, but there has always been something just not quite there musically with me for Beyoncé to put her in my all time female top 10 (and I’m not even sure she’d make my top 20)
