I'm not even sure where this thread's premise originated from but...
@ the notion that Shumpert's defense is better than Jimmy Butler's.
I can accept if you say that they are equal in that category, but I can't let it slide saying one's defensive capability has the potential to be elite and the other's doesn't. They've both shown that they can be lock down defenders. And after last year's playoff run, I don't see how you don't see Butler's defense as elite or close to it right now.
He did a great job on Deron Williams for stretches as well as Joe Johnson in the same series. Two very good ISO players, then you get to the 2nd Round and this nikka was playing 48 minutes per game on Lebron (not even bullshytting) putting up decent scoring numbers and making it tough on Lebron. He played great defense in that series, and you have to remember that Deng was out so he really was on that nikka the entire series.

you clearly haven't watched many bulls games.Butler shut down kobe and paul george last year and defended D will in the 4th quarters of the playoffs and slowed down lebron at times his man to man defense is great
