Better Foreign Crime Show: Narcos vs Gomorrah

Only watched some of the first season of Narcos, but it isn't even close, and maybe only worth comparing in a weighted sense. Narcos is Hollywood stylized nonsense, Gomorrah is not only more accurate in it's depiction, but more philosophical, more nuanced, and therefore more impactful. While Narcos goes for the easy answers and whitewashed perspective of the war on drugs, throwing in some Colombian models to spice things up for the 9-5 white collar guy in Ohio crowd, Gomorrah is a nihilistic, unrepentant look at not only a city, but a world of organized crime, and how it shapes those who inhabit it.
People watch Narcos for entertainment, and hero worship of Pablo Escobar, Gomorrah is a lot darker of a watch.

Damn shyt grabbed me by the first episode. I guess if you don't like it by episode 4, it's not for you. You not curious why they call homie Immortal?EDIT: Scratch that. Give it a chance till episode 10. I don't know what to tell you if you don't like it by then.

I thought the first season of gomorrah was so fire, that I refused to watch any seasons after that because I thought it was that perfect

I started watching Gomorrah today because of this thread. On episode 3 and it's good so far.

That’s one of the best parts of the show. Genny eventually shows growth.

I had to snatch it off a private torrent site. It's hard as to find without buying legit or subscribing to one of those file download sites.
Iirc Netflix is supposed to up it this month. Imo it probably won't come out till the middle of next year.

The body count is crazy high towards the end of the first season.
