Do your research

Research shows that Breaking Bad's ratings went up, whilst Better Call Saul's have plummeted below the point of pre-Season 4 of Breaking bad :picard:

They could cancel it and no one but the fans would notice. It's not a breakout show like BB.

I checked out about a quarter of the way thru season 2 of Better Call Saul. I just losr interest. Though I still DVR season 3 eps. So maybe I'll catch up on Netflix.

Here's the issue.....BB ended on such a hot note. Possibly the hottest of any show ever at it's end.

Then you hear there's a spinoff coming, everybody's hype.....we want those same characters that same action from BB....instead we get almost none.

It just started WAY too slow. By season 2, all the characters should've been in mid-swing

Sure BB was kinda slow the first couple seasons at times, but the spotlight wasn't on BB like that to where it needed to move quicker.

BCS just doesnt have that luxury to move slowly

true but I am a little concerned about the ratings, they've dropped every season. I wonder if people are eating it up on Netflix tho, I imagine they would be. Cable subs are declining rapidly. We consume television differently than before. I just hope AMC don't get scared and cancel. This is probably supposed to go 5 seasons I'd think. I hope Vince gets to tell the full story.
:francis: There's so much stuff on television nowadays, it's gonna be hard for shows nowadays to have the same Binge following like shows from the 2000's did. @MartyMcFly You agree with this?

Better caul Saul is brilliant in its own right. Nobody expected it to be breaking bad part 2.

Season 4-5 is when Breaking Bad broke out and became big.

It's rating were increasing season after season even before that period along with the interest of the show.

Better Call Saul's ratings on the other hand have plummeted season after season from it's initial season (which was only high due to the Breaking Bad connection).

It hasn't maintained it's ratings or interest.

How has the show broken out like Breaking Bad?

Uh....you're wrong on several points here.

Season 4 of "Breaking Bad" the average ratings were around 2 mill. Season 3 of "BCS" the ratings are around 3 mill.

Before you consult Wikipedia, season 4 "BB" was before Live+3 became the standard for most networks. And the Live+3 numbers for "BCS" aren't listed, either.

So I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers from. Like I said, the episode a couple weeks ago pulled 3.4 mill....again, higher than any episode of "Breaking Bad" outside of season 5.

NFL Draft leads, ‘Better Call Saul’ jumps: Cable Live +3 ratings for April 24-30

“Better Call Saul” made the biggest gains among the Top 25, more than doubling its 18-49 rating (0.5 to 1.4) and total audience (1.53 million to 3.47 million).

And that was with the NFL draft and 3 NBA play off games on at the same time.

So to say "the ratings are plummeting" is wildly inaccurate. "BCS" has the highest gains from Live+3 out of any show on any network.

Having said all that I seriously doubt it'll hit the 11 million that the "BB" finale did....but it's virtually unheard of for a show to do that.

BCS is a real slllloooooowwww burner, there's neither much crime drama or comedy. It is starting to pick up in season 3, but its no way as action packed as BB, but it wasnt ever supposed to be.

I think that's the problem. People are expecting BB type pacing when in reality it is a slow burn. Personally, I love the contrast between the two shows. Slow burn shows usually have a great payoff in the end.
