Bro, re watching this show and there are so many terrible things about it. Coli Militant JC, every episode is a slow motion “nooo” in time to stop someone from firing a gun, very questionable writing...and then add in the music being swapped out, this show ain’t really holding up. The nostalgia of the music and gritty 90’s NYC paints this show in a better light than what it actually was. Finally, I’m thinking the writers are trolling with how flat they made JC in terms of race, always bringing up “the black man this” “brutha that”…they do it occasionally with Eddie as well, the PR freedom group, the chick who was raped, it’s insulting how often these brehs can’t do their job because they’re stuck on raceJ.C. acts like a TLR poster whenever race comes into play, no matter how minor it is. Even starts badgering his own partner with his propoganda.
Torres is like "What the fuqq did i do?"
Also, why does he take loud, deep breaths before each of his lines? Watch any episode....it's very noticeable.
