It's always hilarious when they call the reinforcements

Daniel Bryan is so overrated. Not a fan of dude at all.
70% of his offense are kicks & a suicide dive.
Shawn is overrated as a draw, but dude put on incredible performances.
Shawn Michaels not only had classic matches under his belt, but they had a big match feel to it.
Act like paired-down movesets because of WWE match agenting means Daniel Bryan of all people in the world is '70% kicks and suicide dives', brehs.
Daniel fukking Bryan? Dude did a run where he beat people with random, different submissions every match because he could. And then he said fukk it and became Mr. Small Package () and beat everyone with roll-ups.
I can understand deriding the character work, even though it seems a bit dated considering how much his character work has improved over time, but... trying to impugn on Bryan's ring work?
His ring work. Bryan fukking Danielson.
From HBK's own mouth:
"From the first time he walked into the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy he was a hard worker, he was unbelievably talented. But, like me, one of the things that I knew was going to be an up-hill battle for him was his size.
"You know that he's going to be successful but I don't think any of us anticipated this. I mean, he has become the underdog. I don't know that anybody's ever captured the people quite like Bryan has, certainly at this time, and it's a great thing to see."
I solely came into the thread just to point out the likelihood a couple of "kliq stans" will be voting multiple times, and I already have confirmationLooking at who voted, there's people voting that have never posted yet have been members since 2012 or haven't posted in years![]()
Let's talk about drawing..Shawn Michaels is the anti draw of pro wrestling. He cant headline nothing huge as a cornerstone. No chance. But I thought you wanted to talk about drawing.
Here's a couple of facts you might not have been aware of:
The 75 house shows headlined by Shawn Michaels as WWF Champion in 1996 drew an average of 1744 more fans than the 30 house shows headlined by Randy Savage in 1992. Put another way, Michaels in 1996 drew 51% more fans per show than Savage in 1992.
Those 1996 Shawn Michaels house shows drew an average 2x as many people per show than the 23 house shows headlined by Eddie Guerrero as champion in 2004.
Since you always want bring up drawing power (or lack thereof) to criticize Michaels, how do you feel about Randy Savage and Eddie Guerrero as draws?
Incredible? Lol.Daniel Bryan is so overrated. Not a fan of dude at all.

Macho Man has headlined some of the greatest WMs on record. Shawn Michaels has not. Why are you running to Savage's 2nd reign and not his first which was a year long reign that didnt need to.be rescued by another star. His reign led to the Mega Powers facing off..wtf...lol.But I thought you wanted to talk about drawing.

There is no fukking way Shawn Michaels drew any huge numbers solo. Lol. There's context to everything. If Daniel Bryan was in Shawn Michaels' place in 1996 getting the push as WWF Champion (but everything else was the exact same), do you think that would have made business boom?
WWE ratings have been in decline through Daniel Bryan's whole career. Do you hold that against him? Or do you chalk that up to WWE programming overall being trash?
And since we're on the subject of drawing

Maybe you'll be surprised to see that Shawn Michaels is right there in the middle of the pack.
What I want to know is, will you be bringing that same energy to the discussion when Eddie Guerrero, the worst drawing champion of all time, comes up?

only the first round and dudes already bringing out bar graphs on who drew the most
this might be the most fukkery filled event in TSC history![]()
HBK wasn't manufactured lol. WrestleMania 11 is proof of thatShawn Michaels isn't trash. He's objectively not.
He also isn't comprehensively the wrestler than Daniel Bryan is.
I cared more about Bryan's WM win, his retirement and his un-retirement than I cared about Taker/Shawn 1, 2, or him finally letting that hair go. It's a personal opinion. But I hold to it - Bryan wasn't supposed to succeed, and he did it anyway. Michaels literally had management behind him and carte blanche to do as he wished on live television... and he still ended up being pushed along to the side, because people who end up on top organically just present themselves differently than the made men of the business. Austin was organic, Rock post-Maivia was organic. HBK was manufactured, and it was apparent.
Not saying Bryan is equivalent to Rock or Austin... but he's the truest example of an organic rise in this era of wrestling; where the company has no choice but to change their whole plans because of the rumbling behind someone. And... fitting that he played a big part in the next organic rise that happened after him, in Kofimania.
