Funny, I’m old enough to remember being a kid when they were both the faces of their respective companies and were marketed to children.
Sting was my favorite wrestler and I never liked Hoegan.
I never understood the Hogan appeal even as a 6 year old. Everything about him was wack. He moved stiff and uncoordinated, had no moves beyond punch, kick, body slam, suplex, clothesline, big boot, leg drop.
Sting looked cool with the facepaint and buzzcut, had good in-ring ability with high flying/high impact moves that made for an exciting match. And he had arguably the GOAT submission finisher.
No contest at all.
