Daps and reps. I usually agree with you too bro. Quality posting!

:salute:

Do you fukk with Take Me Over? I'm a big Evidence fan and I always liked that beat because Ev originally made the beat for the last song on Cats & Dogs, and it always reminded me a little bit of the Last Call beat he made for Kanye.

I thought Marci killed that shyt.

Flyin' in the wind, keep a shotty at the crib
Square n--as talk square business
We got hammers with hairpin triggers
Only live hoes no scared bytches
N--as cut corners like hair trimmers

yup i do fukk with that track too :blessed:

i always say evidence is the most improved rapper in hiphop history not to mention he is a great producer and sometimes produces borderline classic shyt (a good bit of it is classic to me, but i mean classic to everyone, consensus shyt)

but which Last Call beat you talking about? the one on kanye's album? or some remix?

Yeah I'm not really sure why I ended up skimming it when it first came out cuz I was already a huge fan of his. I mean shyt I was basically a Stan after marcberg alone. Maybe it was the amount of features that made me feel like it wasn't a "serious" project

Yeah, i think that may have been the case with me and the fact i was still soaking in Reloaded. Perception can be a motherfukker.. I was only bumping Bruh Man from that for the longest :deadmanny:

I think i also partially ignored it coz i was expecting a "full" album the following year too, haha

Agree with every word.

The one on Kanye's album my dude. A lot of people don't know he did that beat. That's what got him his Grammy. When Kanye did that beat for DIlated Peoples, Ev had made the Last Call beat and gave it to Kanye to see if he could get it on The Black Album for Jay, because the sample says "Mr. Rockefeller". Jay didn't use it, so Kanye did, and he brought in all these live instruments and stuff for the story he tells at the end of the song. Kanye did all of that, and after he added all that to the song he told Ev he was gonna give Ev a co-production credit with it and Ev was cool with that.

Here's a good video of Ev talking about making the beat and the experience with Kanye.

Video should start at 4:25

Roc has a strong discography. Nothing less than a 4/5 for me

Reloaded
Marcberg
Rosebudd's Revenge
The Pimpire Strikes Back
Marci Beaucoup

Looking forward to Rosebudd's Revenge 2: Bitterdose & KAOS with DJ Muggs :russ:

gotta be reloaded. if i had to sum this dudes shyt up in only one song

:banderas:

That's my shyt right there.

:blessed:

I was actually a little let down by Alchemist's other 2 contributions to that album. Especially not compared to Hoard 90 or All For It.

But Flash Gordon is top 3 joints on Reloaded IMO and the song puts me in a vibe and Marc paints a picture on there that not many rappers are able to do.

Absolutely classic song right there. Alchemist re-flipped that sample for a song with Blu but I always thought Flash Gordon was way better...

Who the fukk thinks of this shyt?

:mindblown:

As the dove flew out the glove of the magician, it was just as I predicted
Reality is prescripted,
Trees twisted
Autistic, gorgeous hitmen escort the vixen
Porsches, imported liquids
To buy a snake and acquired taste, We play for higher stakes
Wine and dine by the fireplace

Piping dimes on the terrace
I’m thinking about my life where it’s headin
I sleep with heat under the pillow
The cash is where I left it, it’s nothing
I watch the city while I’m fukking
I’m such a glutton

The pad is a blank check

Embrace death, taste flesh
While the rhyme on the page is still wet
Far from fictitious
The cars attract the bytches
I hear the whispers

My palms got the blisters
By the 45, you’re moisturized
The oysters are fried
Pull fives out the toybox
B it's lonely at the top
The watchband is croc

The palace is a camelot
Don’t ride the camel when it’s hot
They channeling Pac

My chairman scrambling rock
While I dance to the Spanish guitar
Spit the chorus
To stimulate the whore’s clitoris

"Eyes low, keep the .45 by the thigh bone
Chanel socks, Glocks, tip the bellhop
Checks is in the mailbox, to think we used to sell rocks
Flex the gators with the petrified eye
Accessorize, neck ties, cuff links, rough minks
Just think, I can knock your buzzard just with one blink
‘Cause it ain’t nothin’ sweet, buckin’ heat, hookers rub feet
Hoes we never cuff ‘em, let ‘em run free
The clothes? shyt is custom - we run things, things don’t run we
