On another note, an honourable shout out for Raekwon, who released the Wild and also was heavily involved in the Wu-Tang group album Saga Continues. He had a productive year.

Drake. If we consider "Both" to be a song for 2017 (and not a late 2016) release, then I'll say that it's the best verse and overall song I've heard from ANYONE this year hands down.

As I said in the OP, as long as someone released something project-wise this year (which Drake did with More Life), then you can use singles etc. leading up to the project as fuel for your argument, even if they were released in 2016. The only thing is that wasn't this a guest feature? It wouldn't factor into the argument for Drake in 2017 personally.

Right now Offset is the most balanced/versatile Migos member. He got Quavo's hookmaking ability and energy, but he can also give mfs bars with a nice flow like Takeoff

Definitely the most balanced I will give you that. I don't like how Quavo is strictly becoming a hook making guy. He was always that guy, but he had bars a couple of years back, and that's what made him the first standout member of the group. But he's regressed lyrically.

Yeah on YRN, Quavo was doing most of the heavy lifting, bars hooks and all. I definitely think the group has more mainstream appeal because of the dynamic now, but I wish they would drop another one for the streets with everybody just spitting
