Tbh I'm gonna start with a bit of a homer pick and go Ghostface

36 Seasons may be my fav album that year and that's saying something....2014 was garbage to me.

I may listen to one or two other projects and see if I change my mind. Ghost isn't the traditional MVP this year but I'll go off the album in this case.

:usure:

I love Ghost so much but :dwillhuh:

This has to be some internet shyt cuz dudes irl aren't listening to no damn K Rino. Im a huge hip hop fan and own over 300 albums but when I joined the coli I found out this guy was the most "prolific MC" ever
:mjlol:

Skimmed a few of your posts, literally everything I saw was incorrect. Lol it's always wild to me when people boast about being ignorant on a Hip Hop forum lol.

Do Scarface, Z-Ro, Canibus, Killer Mike, Bun B, Trae Tha Truth, Gangsta Nip, Point Blank etc all post here?.....

They all listen to him and many others. DJ Premier, Chuck D, and could go on and on listen to him and play him. So again, everything you're saying is factually incorrect.

Also on a side note, K-Rino would have been on many of the other polls years as I would have voted him for certain years but I never requested anybody, all I did was state honestly what my vote was. Also there's been several years where K-Rino had released a dope albums where I DIDN'T vote him, because I haven't voted for anybody off bias but who I genuinely think had the best album. So I don't see what you're problem is, why don't you just vote who you vote for and let other people who say who they wanna vote for too, everyone isn't a sheep and have to vote for a certain set of artists, people were asked to vote for who think would genuinely pick, infact initially I just picked from the poll but I was ASKED to pick who I genuinely would pick, when I thought K-Rino had the best album that year I picked him, when I didn't I didn't pick him, and didn't even request he be added on years where he released excellent albums that are highly regarded.

Isnt K Rino from Texas? Damn near everybody you listed is from Texas with the exception of Canibus, Chuck D and Killer Mike. No wonder they know who he is. You really think anybody cares about Canibus and Chuck D's opinion in 2016?

You don't think people care about Chuck D? Why not? He's a legend. And should care about what Canibus thinks because he's shown and proved he's an incredible MC and lyricist so would have more knowledge and wisdom about the craft than random internet forum posters.

He's from Texas, so what? Texas isn't the internet, of course he's more known and prominent in Texas, he has does international tours though all over, U.K, Germany, Finland, Australia, of course all over the U.S and people listen to his music internationally. He's in the Houston music Hall Of Fame, and he inspired a lot of Houston rappers, as I said that's REAL LIFE and not the internet like you said.

Aside from that he's worked with Ras Kass (believe he's on Soul On Ice 2 coming out soon), Spice 1, Lil Fame, Devin The Dude, Yukmouth, apart from Devin all those aren't even from the south. Not that it matters though, a rapper is more popular and inspired more MC's in their home state? Is that a newsflash or a way to downgrade someone? Lol. That's pretty standard.

If you don't know, you don't know, that's fine, but just quickly correcting the false information.

I legit never heard of dude till I joined the coli two years ago:mjlol:
I think I vaguely knew who he was from the internet...but I'd never heard any of his music up until all the K-Rino threads started popping up a few years back on here.
This has to be some internet shyt cuz dudes irl aren't listening to no damn K Rino.
I've also never met anyone in real life who listens to him.
My take on it is that he was a local rapper in the 90s who slowly accumulated a large online fanbase starting in the early 2000s.
So he's in this strange position where people like Scarface look up to him and consider him a pioneer, but serious hip hop fans in the 90s, outside of TX, had no clue about him back then. I can say out in the Bay he didn't get any radio play and I never saw any of his videos on Rap City or Yo...but that's to be expected because he was 100% independent during the 90s.
I think a lot of people who got into him when he started getting notoriety on the internet didn't realize that his albums in the 90s were local to TX, or at best, regional.
Also on a side note, K-Rino would have been on many of the other polls years as I would have voted him for certain years but I never requested anybody, all I did was state honestly what my vote was. This is 100% true. You picked Bizzy Bone over him recently for some year.
You really think anybody cares about Canibus and Chuck D's opinion in 2016?
Did you just throw Chuck D in the bushes? :dwillhuh:

Im not taking anything away from K Rino but he keeps being brought up in discussions with legends and he isn't one

Nah Im not throwing Chuck in the bushes:mjlol:

But tbh does his opinion really hold any weight in 2016 just cuz he's a legend? Id rather hear Busta Rhymes' opinions right now than Chuck D's:heh:
