Daps to everybody because I love all these songs.

But my answer is Get Dis Money. The way he flipped the Herbie Hancock and it got that fukkin KNOCK

Takes me back to 2012 every Friday listening to that joint and going to get my lil ass check as an intern :blessed:

The Light…just bc we’ve heard it a million times doesnt downplay how surreal it is

It took me getting older to realize Dilla isnt (or shouldn’t be) just praised on some ‘let’s give him props bc he died’. Nah he is EASILY the best producer of all time. Easily.

He has no trademark 1 dimensional sound. Something I don’t think any truth producer can say. He can morph into whatever you want. No ghost producers either. I didn’t realize his brilliance until I’d look up songs I loved for years and found out Dilla did them :ohhh::wow:

It's not easy for me.

I heard all of these when they dropped in real time, and the one beat that I went crazy over the most, was "Stakes Is High". The horns, the drums, that filtered baseline. My first reaction to that was on some other sh*t, lol. So I have to go with that.

But 'Get Dis Money" is next level production too. The way he caught that Herbie Hancock sample was masterful.
