i never knew you were a member of the brotherhood, but it makes senseMe personally, as someone that went to a art school, the silhouette being strong, strong primary colors, the type of shapes used within the characters, boxes, spheres, squares, triangles.
Same reason why ninja turtles are great designs that no matter how many times you iterate on them they still work.
Think about all the characters you liked drawing growing up. Even when you break certain characters down into simple shapes they still look recognizable
I think a lot of people attribute great design to popularity after the fact
True.
what do you brehs consider good/great design?
you a damn designer. let the regulars answer
one aspect of a good design is if you can make it more abstract and still identify the characters
Female characters with tank top and jeans. Are the female versions of the white guy with shaved heads trend.Bro, they missed so hard with the remake and part of it flopping (all three) was they replaced an iconic visage with plain Jane shyt.
They even had the nerve to not have the double pistols until the absolute LAST PART of the first game (remake). WTF, breh?
Same issue with Jill in Remake 3;
Her character was better than what they marketed her as, but, again, replaced an iconic look with some plain forgettable shyt.
The fact they put her all-time looks in DLC shows how much they fukked up.
They should've done like God of War and made a few tweaks...but, WTF is that elbow pad? She bout to tag team with Macho Man?
