He was ahead of his time though and this song was ok

maaan, I did not like that Melvin Riley album. Ready for the World and MInt Condition are my favorite r&b groups of all time. I remember when RFTW dropped and was performing on Soul Train. My aunt bought the vinyl . When he left the group, he started singing over hip hop tracks that a lot of singers were doing at the time and this is not what he was known for. "Whose is it" was a throwback to what he was known for though, but a lot of that other shyt wasn't hot. I still have the cd though
