I've only seen the Skyfall is overrated talk on here so I'm curious to see why you or anyone else feels that it is.

The script was severely lacking. The story makes no sense whatsoever.
The way they decide to hide at his folks' home because it would be safest there (makes 0 sense) and then the way the entire mission fails because he fails to protect M. Maybe Nas really is the black Bond, seeing as how Bond's taking major L's now apparently.
There are many other plotholes and intuitively implausible events in the movie. It wasn't a good movie at all to me. Plus it's sharked from The Dark Knight too much anyway.

Goldeneye> Casino Royale>QOS>Skyfall for that matter.

But only Goldeneye would make my top 5 best Bond movies overall. Can't believe people are hating on Octop*ssy. Was one of my favorites growing up, though I haven't seen it in ages. I love Sean Connery but Roger Moore is who I think of when I think of James Bond. He was the best one to me.

I'll agree with the part about them going there made little sense but the flick overall worked for me and gets better with subsequent watches. The script was tight minus that and one other scene I'm thinking of

I only watched it once (when it came out). Maybe I should watch it again and see how I feel about it now.

Give it a shot breh, it holds up. When I first saw it I said "it's good, not great" but after watching it several times on blu ray, everything came together for me. There are two scenes I can think of that make me roll my eyes but overall, it's a well put together film, tells a great story about Bond and about the world we live in, and that last scene??

Seeing Bond walk into M's office, which looks just like a Bond from the 60s, Ralph Finnes taking over as M, Moneypenny on deck:ohhh::wow:

I like Live and Let Die and I haven't found many Bond fans who agree with me so I'm glad I'm not alone. But out of curiosity, why the man with the golden gun? It's one I abhor so I'd love to hear another side of it

I still haven't seen casino royale or skyfall. should watch soon if everyone recommends it. last I saw was quantum of solace which was alright. some of the ones I've enjoyed have been the voodoo one. think live and let die? gator scene was crazy. goldfinger. dr no. golden gun, and spy who loved me. agree bout view to a kill and some of the pierce brosnan films.

see out of the three daniel craig bond movies, you watched the WORST one.

I thought the timothy dalton ones were kinda weak personally.

I think License to Kill is weak although I respect it for going so off formula but The Living Daylights deserves a rewatch. It's got him playing Bond well, a nice Cold War plot with a couple twists, a very dope Aston Martin, nice locales and good action

The Man With The Golden Gun was to me the culmination of the campy over the top vibe that epitomized Roger Moore's time as Bond and embraced it all to make a really fun movie.
Plus Francisco Scaramanga was cool as fukk.

Word to the bolded...I actually think Moonraker is the culmination of it because he was still trying to be a tough guy in golden gun, slapping Maude Adams around and whatnot. But I think that's why I'm not with that movie or a lot of Roger Moore flicks, because I don't like campy over the top Bond. :manny:
