Neither is the so called "black".
Once the truth is revealed.. We may owe the European an apology since we enslaved them first... (And each other)
But hey.. Most of you think we all came from Africa and haven't study any of the history before the Punic wars

I think the ending of slavery of blacks in the US is a far greater issue than cases of slave trade that happened 500+ years ago in other countries. My grandfathers grandfather was a slave and he has told me stories that his grandfather told him. It was weird in a surreal kind of way since history can be distorted in history books and in movies. Apparently he was a runaway slave from West Virginia, that was tricked by a white conman. the "Game" involved white people helping slaves escape from their "masters", but then double-crossing them by revealing their whereabouts and then collecting the reward money. He was captured, but seen as a "high-risk" slave so He was then sent to the deep south where there was no hope of escape.
and its not just slavery throughout history, its the fact that America wouldn't be as big/rich of a superpower as it is today if it wasn't for the hundreds of years of free labor.
As for reparations, I have no idea how it would even work, or what specific people should apologize, or how much money should be distributed, but I do this its been long overdue (like the Native Americans).
Reparations wouldn't simply be about slavery, it would be about the disenfranchisement of blacks even AFTER slavery ended. In the early 20th century my great grandparents owned several grocery stores in Waco Texas that were burnt to the ground. They eventually started getting death threats/the burning cross in the yard (among other things) so they fled in fear California and had to start from scratch, and never quite became as successful as they were living in Texas (which is why I live here in the first place).
Now on the other hand, white people from my great grandparents same generation were able to do the same thing but they were never marginalized and seen as second class citizens. their jobs and businesses and shops were allowed to flourish which is why there are so many white people today that are well off due to "old money" We (black people) were never given that opportunity.
