Turned out much better than the kid from the Hughleys

I don't like the thread title, I watched the teaser already

Dude was just done

This Hollywood shyt ain't forever

The thread title makes it seem as if he's down bad

He was just trying different things to challenge himself

Sounds like he doing just fine
And I'm never mad at a kid surrounded by glitz and glamour growing up and learning how to get his hands dirty and earn money in ways most people do. Nothing worse than being pampered and out of touch as a grown man.

Also makes you wonder why they killed him off in IW. Most would have guessed he'd have a big role in IW/Endgame after BP. Remember the producer was fighting with them not to kill him. And I understand from a story standpoint as they were focusing on the OG cast. However, remember it seemed like his character was about to cash out over the next two movies. Instead, he was limited. Cause they had no idea he would be as big of a deal that soon.

I think they were going to set him up afterward. Timing is everything tho. :mjcry:

I remember watching a Double Toasted ep years ago of either the BP movie review or the Infinity War trailer and Martin made the point that Disney had BP placed so close to Infinity War so that if/when it failed they could just move things along to marketing A:IW asap.

That always stood out to me since I’d never considered that perspective until that moment... and then I watched Infinity War and I was like yea... if BP had “failed” (or simply just been lukewarm) they’d already covered their bases by doing the bare minimum in screen time before dusting the character off.

Not to mention the noticeably better CGI in A:IW, and the fact the BP cast had to shoot both films in the same time period

Glad breh got his head straight and kept it real with himself

A lot of actors got too much pride to be honest with themselves & realize they need a 9 to 5

The majority of actors/actresses out here are working odd jobs to supplement income, we just don't see or hear about it publicly. There isn't money or a lucrative career out here in acting in spite of what people think. Geoffrey Owens was here a few weeks ago performing and he flat out said that he took the Trader Joe's job because he had no other choice but to.

Even Chadwick Bosemen's estate (Rip :mjcry:) was only worth less than a million after his death and that was in spite all of the movies he had been in for his career including Marvel.

I remember there was this story a read that said the marvel movies don't pay the top dollars that people think they do. I think Chris Hemworth said he made more money for one of those snow white and the huntsman movies than he did for his first thor movie.

Shout outs to Richie from Family Matters.

He been doing soap operas most of his life and he good forever. Found a steady gig and his wifey on the show. Never got caught up in no bullshyt.

Yep.

Soap opera actors work everyday but don't get paid as much. But if you land a good gig, it can turn into a great career.

That’s most super hero films for the first 1, especially if the actor isn’t already big. Outside of RDJ, none of them were stacking money in phase 1. And RDJ only got so much from the beck end deal from the first Avengers movie.

The MCU people don't really get paid until their 2nd contract.

Chris closed the deal for the Snow White movie a week after Thor was released.

The fat girl from Hairspray was working in a salon after the movie.

I mean it’s hard to find a a show year after year or a successful movie after movie.

That’s why the lady from Grey’s Anatomy doing 20 seasons. Make money doing the same crap and getting that producer money.

People hated old Hollywood system but it guaranteed work. You had no choice but it was steady if you played the game.

Yeah Ellen Pompeo said many times that there are way too many staff/crew/actors depending on the success of the show to quit

Life of a child actor :manny: Glad he kept his head straight and didn't end up like the ones that got caught up in dark side of the limelight.

Not every child actor ends up a household name (like Johnathan Taylor Thomas) or can just grow in the industry as solely an actor (Leo or MBJ). It's very rare and roles are very limited. They don't do PG movies with a child cast like they used to and most high school shows hire adults like he mentioned.

If you can land a spot on a show that seems like it's on forever like Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, a soap opera, NCIS etc. you'll be good.
