How come albums don't leak early no more

Because the way the used to leak is someone would take a copy from Best Buy or wherever when they'd arrive nationwide at those big box stores, and then rip the audio and leak them out. Physical CDs are barely a thing anymore, so there's nothing to steal. When the audio drops on streaming platforms is basically the first time anyone has any access to it.

But usually you can hear music 18 hours ahead of time if you live on the east coast if you use a VPN and set your location to New Zealand. From there if you just look up the album on Spotify or YouTube then you should be able to listen to it.

yeah exactly. And that was almost 2 years ago when that was thrown out there, so a lot has definitely changed between now and then.
