I'm bout to start cooking

Not sure how it will play out, but I don’t think you can blame the Bengals for paying big money to both Chase and Higgins. People would have criticized them even more if they didn’t bring both back on new contracts. People always want to use hindsight. I understand the defense needs work, but when your franchise QB wants his two top weapons back, you have to listen. Even if it ends up not working out, I won’t fault the Bengals.

It will just be foot on neck season for Burrow. :mjlit: .

Higgins must have really wanted to stay in Cincinnati as that deal is kind of a steal for them if you look into the details.
Yeah he probably would have been better off just letting Cincy tag him again next year. Still bad management on their part for waiting until now to reach deals, but they salvaged themselves some to get him under that deal especially with what DK just got days before.

The fact they can get out of the Higgins deals after each year with practically no penalty is a wild salvage of this situation by the Bengals front office.

Bingo.

This is what I've said all season long this past year, and even prior years. He can have those 300+ yard passing and four passing TD games, but he makes some critical mistakes at the end of halves and the end of games. That terrible INT against the Ravens might have cost them the playoffs, and there were numerous 3rd and short and fourth and short plays where he threw it deep and it resulted in turnover on downs.

Both Ravens games
Steelers game-1
Commanders game
Patriots game

...all come to mind

True indeed. Dont forget about the awful decision on the go ahead 2pt try, where he has Chase one and one and throws to the backup tight end. I still will never understand how 2nd and 2 in the SB, turned.into turnover on downs

On point. Dont forget about the big time strip 6.at KC
Facts

Lamar and Allen get a lot of heat

Burrow should too

He's still living off Mahomes's meltdown in 2021. @murksiderock

Makes it more palatable. They can see how it goes this year then pivot if necessary. No idea why Tee would agree to this when he already had a franchise tag. This basically removes all the leverage he wouldve had next year.

Yall call the Bengals cheap

Then when they spend

They are stupid

:mjlol:

Not going to fault a team for paying their stars, especially when that’s what their franchise QB wants. At least it shows you’re going for it and willing. I’d rather “overpay” a star and retain them, and possibly regret it down that road versus letting one walk and regretting it.
