Orlando is definitely not better than them, and unlike last years Wolves they play defense when Embiid is out there.

If he can play 60-70 games they make the playoffs :yeshrug:

Orlando is legit this year.

At least I hope their fanbase they are because they've had no hope for awhile. :mjcry:

all better and more experienced squads. Sixers can get in but its not even close to a guarantee. Theyre what the wolves were last year

Not so sure about that. Especially about the Pacers they're awful. Sixers are 2-4 but every team they lost to made the playoffs last year.

Aaron Gordon is shooting 73% from three, and as a team the Magic are shooting 46% from three, that's not sustainable and they will come back to earth eventually.

They look improved, but I doubt they're making the playoffs.

AG was meant to break out though, Simmons was a quality pickup, Vuc is playing defense at a decent level, etc. While they're not going to maintain this pace, I think they can sustain a playoff pace.

Pacers/Heat/Pistons are all more questionable than the magic for me this year due to various reasons. Pacers just straight up aren't making it, Whiteside's health is a question with the heat, and Pistons needs Harris to continue to overachieve to sustain their pace, which I don't see happening.

Embiid gets all of his production in the halfcourt and anchors the defense.

Simmons is a kangaroo loving Bum who stat pads his points and assist on fastbreaks before wilting like a coward in the halfcourt during crunch time.
Both are elite and rare talents but yeah... Embiid has a lot more impact.

One of the most underrated abilities in basketball is the ability to generate instant offense by attacking/pressuring in transition.

Even when it doesn't become an easy bucket, it tends to lead mismatches everywhere.

Simmons provides that in spades. Contrary to popular belief but it's not easy to be a consistent transition nightmare like Giannis/Simmons/Lebron/Westbrook/Curry.

Simmons can have superstar impact especially if he's a high IQ player and gradually improves his shot.

Embiid is more talented and undisputed first option but Simmons can be a Kobe-esque where he can impose his will when needed.

young lebron would have won that game:mjpls:

no he would not, and real talk.
bron shirked playing point, and stifled his actual bball iq development.
that every pedigreed coach in the league has exposed in the post season in the finals.
of which bron will never ramp over that low bball iq and small ball based ideals.
i am not sure you watched any actual young bron on the cavs.
as real talk, he did not gel at all, and was also flanked by talent.
the whole team was blown up except for z, for bron.
at least in ben's favor he gets along with embiid, and they gel.
with bron, he won't share, won't play his natural and won't even study to up his bball iq to really be a winner against a pedigreed fully staffed healthy team.

so trying to compare him to lebron in timeline at this point.
either shows you never watched bron in preps to the nba early on.

or you really don't know wtf you talembout, as far as hoops and player analysis are concerned.
just off eye test alone, for simmons you showing you really don't see the game from a pedigree bball iq stand point and you just trying to be a skip bayless hater type to simmons.

indie is suspect, as far as being quality enough to make the offs.

if anything philly will be in that mix of the seven to the eight seed if you think indy is making strides over the course of the season.

vogel in orlando has talent and all vogel needs is real talent and he can get a team to focus enough to make the post season.
detroit has done a good job turning around so far at the start.
which could mean svg has figured it out.
indie is the weak link this season over the course but philly could have young growing pains and not make it too.

i hope philly makes it, because i am high on simmons, embiid and even fultz.

watching Embiid... did he work on those moves for awhile, or is he just naturally gifted like that?
i havent really read up on him like i should, but if he's one of them brothers that just started playing ball in like his 2nd year of highschool, then the shyt hes doing right now is REALLY fukkin impressive!

he didn’t start hooping till he was like 15 years old. He’s built to play basketball, naturally gifted but he also worked really hard to hone his skills. Those 2 years he missed worked wonders for his game, especially his jumper
