nikkas that buy custom jewelry are NOT doing so for the investment value idiots. They are doing it for the chance to "stunt" or show off. ALL jewelry has an insane markup and is generally overpriced. Anyone looking to invest in gold should buy pure gold coins or other raw commodities. Anyone thinking these rap chains are "good investments" deserve the financial calamities that will befall them in the future.

How many old rappers have you heard of that have successfully flipped their "rap chains" for profit after their career fizzled out?

Nah b as long as it's gold it'll triple in price it's all good :laff:

someone will definitely cop that rap label chain from you even after that brand falls off

why buy pure gold coins/bars when you can have a Maybach chain :laff:

Naw, I'm just sayin she's been collecting custom pieces before she blew up to icon status. Her ideology is no different than pusha's. Especially if all the jewels in question are quality.

Movie star money >>>>>>>>>>> Ghostwriting and flopping group albums money

and I'm sure that regular jewelry has a lot more resale value than rap chains

@MegaTronBomb! I'll break it down simply for your stupid ass

You said "The actual value of the gold and diamonds wont depreciate in such a manner that it'd be considered a stupid purchase." and that might be right

however that's irrelevant because you're buying a rap chain not raw gold and stones

you have two options for selling this chain

1. You sell it as is: No one's buying a car logo chain from Pusha T man  there is not one buyer in the world who would pay a fair price for it

2. You break it down: Well enjoy your $5K in gold and cloudy stones that you paid $20K for... even if the raw value goes up 400% you're still only breaking even

Lol this idiot keeps holding onto "bu but gold won't depreciate" and can't understand anything else :laff:

The scrap value of the gold and diamonds >>> the value in rap chain form
:upsetfavre:

It's like getting good ingredients for a meal then fokking it all up

It cost more to have custom jewelry made wether or not it depreciates the value. Point is, 20k is good for what he bought.

so 6 carats of VVS stones = "cloudy" and over 220 grams of 14k gold= 5 grand?:usure:

what world do you live in where VVS stones are even in the realm of "cloudy" ?

and no, it's not irrelevant because it's formed into a chain...you just want it to be cause it's a rapper.

6 carats of VVS stones, and 220 grams of 14k gold will retain it's value..regardless of however much was paid for the customization.

not gonna read all the back and forth in this thread but jewellery is a bad investment, period. Regardless of whether you're an old white lady or a rapper

the internet
I still dont understand how you all think a chain will retain value.
Dont forget you are also paying the people who made that shyt...they gotta eat too...and jewelers arent broke.

You can go on Craigslist on any given day and find people selling their jewelry for the cheap (this is actually a decent way to come up if you know how to inspect pieces)...if it was as easy as melting your gold down and getting your money back, everyone would be doing it.

Look at those places like Gold4Cash etc....
Your jewelry only retains value if there is a market for it...i.e. it being collectable.
These rap chains do not have a market.
Pusha T aint taking that necklace to auction in 15yrs and making a profit.

most people can't even afford VVS stones, much less 6 carats of anything.. why would they be selling them on craigslist?

most folks aren't even working with high quality jewelry to begin with..so them paying to have it melted down isn't an viable option.

Cash 4 Gold scammed a shytload of folks out of money... folks were only getting 1/3 of what their shyt was actually worth. perfect scam to juice folks thinking they caked up off the rise in gold

quality diamonds and gold aren't gonna lose their value... in 15 years 200+ grams of 14k gold and 6 carats of VVS diamonds will be worth more than he paid for it.

You don't even know if they're VVS for real :smugfavre:

Regardless of the diamond quality you're still getting hustled for double what it's worth just because of the work done to make it into a chain

So you really believe the description that they're giving? You don't think they might lie to make it look good for show? :snoop:

"6 carats of VVS stones, and 220 grams of 14k gold will retain it's value..regardless of however much was paid for the customization."

yo b how dumb are you... I just schooled you saying that a rap chain has no resale value because no one's gonna buy it and breaking it down to diamonds and gold would be retarded because you paid like double to have it in jewelry form

:merchant: in what imaginary situation is a chain a good investment... answer that :snoop:

dudes be living in fantasy worlds out here... :laff:
