All he needs is a playoff appearance with this roster. After two decades with Tom Brady, the Patriots will have to adjust to a new quarterback this season. Bill Belichick pointed out on Monday that he’s done it before.
Belichick noted that in 2008, when Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week One, the Patriots still had a solid season, finishing 11-5.
“Cassel would be a good example,” Belichick said, via the Boston Herald. “We geared everything toward what would be best for him, just like we always geared everything toward what was best for Tom to help our offense there. So I don’t really see that changing.” (system quarterback: )
Cassel completed 63.4 percent of his passes in 2008, finished the season with 3,693 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and helped New England go 11-5. The Patriots also went 2-0 with Jimmy Garoppolo and 1-1 with Jacoby Brissett when Brady was suspended for Deflategate. Now the Patriots will see how they can do with another quarterback filling in for Brady.

Belichick on his "we don't need no Brady "
Its hard to doubt his football acumen with putting together all those top 10 defenses over the years. Not to mention the fact that Jimmy G did well when he took over for a brief period. You dudes actually believed Belichick have you ever heard him talk the seems like he doesn't know shyt about football.
That first page in here was like an exposition of Brady haters feigning objectivity. And now they look foolish despite what actual Patriots fans told them. How many times have I said that you guys keep talking about 08 and 15 like those rosters weren’t incredibly stacked? I kept saying what would happen without Tom on those 06 and 09 rosters and shyt like that? But you had dudes on here saying the Pats would still look like the most prepared team and it wouldn’t matter. nikkas said Stidham might have the secret sauce and anyone could succeed in New England because of a couple of starting caliber QBs looking decent with stacked rosters.

This however is an absolutely terrible roster. Minus the addition of Cam who looks like he's still trying to recover from Covid.
Why do people bring up Matt Cassel so much when
A) their schedule that year was historically easy and they still lost to every good team despite having a stacked roster
B) many coaches have done that?
