how do you reconcile the fact that in a global society in large cities it is impossible to avoid the 'collateral damage' of killing and injuring humans who have no connection to your historical wrong?

Look at the pictures and read the names of survivors, bystanders and rescuers and it obvious a significant number of non-whites have been heavily impacted.
