Jesus was a man but he was beyond the program because it was HiM. According to Jesus, John the Baptist was the greatest man ever. He also lived by himself. But he was above the program.

Only a few people can live a meaningful life by themselves. It's not possible for the average man. These guys, like few others, had no family or kids because they were pursuing something bigger than life. They were on a mission. Staying by yourself to chill and enjoy your resources is suicide. As I said, the average man is not programmed to do it.
