A few of my close girlfriends and I aren't...just were and still are very career driven, so that was always the priority, rather than family planning.

Having kids can come later but I don't see how settling down will slow down your career ambitions

It won't slow career ambitions, but working long hours also doesn't leave much time for a social life and dating...and it kind of starts there...you have to invest quality time into a relationship, especially one that you feel will lead to marriage. If you find someone who can understand that or is in the same position, then that's great.
